Dollar Express

i have booked car hire with Expedia and it is with Dollar, does anyone know if I can link my DH express number so we can skip the counter?
 
Here is what I did on Thursday 21st

Left wife at baggage claim area ,while I went straight to Garage And Dollar Express Kiosk.

Handed in my voucher & within 2 min. I had my car selected , locked it & was back to wife .

Total time 25 min.

I book through US Rent A Car. Just call or email them and ask them to put my Express reference on the booking their end in the notes. Worked every time, car is waiting ready to go :)

"Thank you for your reservation with us."

"We apologize for any inconvenience. We are not able to add a Dollar Express number to a Prepaid reservation. Dollar Express customers end up getting charged twice when using a Prepaid rate, so at this time, the option of Dollar Express service cannot be done with a Prepaid rate.

If you want to receive Dollar Express service, you will have to book a Pay Later rate. If you prefer to book a Pay Now rate, you will not receive Dollar Express service."

So not much help !!

That's not true. The company you paid the money to just needs to add it to the notes on the booking. Sorry, looking st my last message that wasn't clear, Expedia need to add the note, not Dollar :)

It's not true but it's the official reply. Never had a problem using Dollar Express with any reservation but the official line is you can't do it.
 
Ok, so I did add a note when I booked with Expedia so fingers crossed that it is passed through. I suppose we will see when we go to the garage. I seem to recall a few years ago now that it showed on our Dollar Express account, but there isn't anything on there at the minute. Haven't used them for a while.
