I used Dollar rental car agency for the first time at MCO and I have mixed feelings. First off the price was great 119.00 for an intermediate car. I signed up for the Express Lane program. Not as good as Budget's Fastlane program. With Budget you go right to the kiosk in the garage, Dollar you have to go to the Express lane in the terminal first before you go to the kiosk in the garage. You still bypass the long lines in the terminal but with Budget you cut out the terminal all together and go right to the kiosk in the garage. I had no problem with the car, nice and neat and clean. The checkout however was a little chaotic. The line in the garage was long and the Dollar employee checking you out was not very couteous at all. Budget's checkout is very organized and quick. If you can afford the little extra to pay for Budget go with them over Dollar.

it's always good to hear the first hand experience! I'm renting from Dollar for the first time this month - in Ft. Lauderdale. I also have a reservation with them at MCO for our October trip. I will keep a close eye on the Budget rates! I did sign up for the Express hoping it would speed us up. Man, I wish National would get better rates!

I just recently used Dollar at MCO and I had no problems at all. There were only 2 people in front of me when I went to the desk inside the terminal. When I went out to the garage it went smoothly. Although I did see a guy demand a different car because the panic button wasn't working on the keyless remote.

We have utilized Dollar the last three trips down to WDW, and have not had any problems whatsoever. I've rented minivans each time, and one year I was given a regular Caravan instead of a Grand Caravan. With 4 of us and 6 pieces of luggage the Grand Caravan fits us a bit better. I went back to the garage kiosk and explained the situation to them, and they allowed me to walk through the aisle and pick another vehicle. I found a Grand Caravan in a non-typical exterior color, so I chose that one so it would be easy to spot in the parking lots as well.

I'd have no problem recommending Dollar to anyone. The only problem I had was that we had to wait for a skycap for quite a while on our last trip.

Overall I would give it a B. Like I said the express lane in the terminal was fast, it's just that with Budget you don't have to go to the terminal counter at all you go right to the garage. Dollar you use the express lane in the terminal but still have to go to the kiosk in the garage, with Budget you skip that whole counter thing. The checkout with Budget is even better because they have you park the car in the gargage and check you out, this way you can get out and start unloading. With dollar your all in a row and have to wait for every car in front of you to get checked out. Budget is an A Doallar is a B. No biggie.
