dollar car hire question

wondering if someone can help with a few questions about car hire....
we're going to hire a car from dollar but through usrentacar.co.uk
can we sign up for and use dollar express if we've bought the car hire through a 3rd party?
which car hire desk do we use when we get to orlando international (last time we booked car hire through virgin so think we used their desk, there was no queue, it was great!!)
how long is the queue likely to be when we get to the desk? hoping to be at the hotel within 2 and a half hours of landing so we can watch wishes.
where do we go after weve done the paperwork? do they bring the car to us?

thanks in advance, havent booked the bits of the holiday seperately before so looking for a bit of info. if someone can do me a walkthrough of where i need to go, what i need to do, any tips to save time etc i'd be really grateful.

Hi Karen
you can use dollar express as it doesnt matter who you book your car with as long as its a dollar hire car.
when arriving at MCO you go to the dollar desk, you will see a dedicated area there for dollar express customers.
you have priority over people in the normal line and so will be seen quickly. once the paper work is done you walk over the road to dollar car hire kiosk and are given you car keys and told whereabouts your car is.

Yes you can sign up fro Dollar Express, used it with rentals from USrentacar.co.uk and Airlinenetwork.co.uk no problems. Some people add the Express # to the reservation, I don't, I just turn up at the desk with my voucher and Express card.

You goto the regular Dollar rental desk but use the Express line, one at either side of the airport A or B. Without express depends if its a Virgin plane your are on, if it is then Dollar gets busy and can easily take over 1 hour. With Express never taken us more than 5 mins, max 1 family in front of us.

From landing to hotel with Express usually take us 90 mins, 45-60 mins to get in the car and 25-30 mins to hotel.

When you have completed paperwork you take you docs out to the kiosk in the parking lot, straight opposite the door as you go out the airport, there they take a sheet off your docs and give you the keys and tell you row and # your car is in, you then go find it and drive off in your own time, just have aquick look around and make sure no damage, if there is go tell them now and have it recorded, if bad ask for another car, ours have always been like new.

looking at the sign up page on the dollar website, its asking for a company name for my employer, and my credit card number.
why does it need my card number, i'm not going to be charged anything am i? i'm going to pay for it through usrentacar.co.uk
also just after it asks for my driving licence number, its asking for a region. what do you put in there?
do i get sent a dollar express card to use?

Its 2 years ago since I signed up so forget what it asked, I remember the employer, I used my own business name, just put any.
Credit card is standard, if you have any extras added they keep it on record to charge you. They did charge me one rental for additional driver when I had already prepaid with Platinum cover, I emailed them when I got home and they credited my card no problems, partly my fault for not seeing it on the rental form, I just signed for it. never charged me for anything else.
Sorry can't remember what the region is about, you would have to try maybe your county, maybe someone else knows.
Yes you get a card thru the post, took about 10 days for mine.

on the region part just put in the first 3 or 4 letters of your county
