When I went to Disney in Oct 02 there was Doll & Teddybear Convention there (I didn't go). I was wondering if they still do it in Oct. I haven't been able to find anything for 2004.

Thanks!

It has been the first weekend of December for the last 3 years, and again is scheduled for December 3-5 this year. Details have not yet been released other than the dates.

I have been every year for the last 8 years, if you have any quesions feel free to PM or email me.

I must be dreaming about 2002? Well I was pregnant

I'm planning an Oct 04 trip and was hoping I could get SIL to join us if the Doll convention was there but I guess not.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Could you give me details on what happens? I know the dates for Epcot this year, but no nothing of what the activities are and such. I've got a young'un very interested in going.

The event has been in December since 2001. It was previously in October, and one year was in early November.

Here is information based on the last couple of years:

The Teddy Bear and Doll Weekend will take place at World ShowPlace at Epcot the first weekend of December.
The event generally runs from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. each day and will feature teddy bear and doll artist appearances, exclusive event logo merchandise and unique holiday photo opportunities with Disney characters.
Activities taking place the first two days of the event (Friday and Saturday) are open to package guests only. The event will be open to all Epcot guests on the Sunday of the event weekend (again this is subject to change.)
There have been no announcements as to the package costs this year, but the packages generally include activities such as limited-edition-book signings, auctions, socials, a private IllumiNations viewing and priority seating for a performance of The Candlelight Processional.
Special Events number for booking this is (407) 827-7600

Hope this helps.

I called the special events line regarding this for 2004 and was told that nothing has been officially or tentatively booked.

I know last year it took forever for them to get the packages mailed out and such but they would at least confirm the dates.

What is your opinion on this happening in Dec 2004?
