I had a dole whip float last time and am looking forward to another in 5 days. I have heard about the schoolbread and am going to try it this trip. What other snack or counter service treats are not to be missed? Tell me your favorites and where to get them!

I love the Strawberry Swirl at the Enchanted Grove in the MK.
Also, a Trip to WDW is not complete without a Mickey Ice Cream Bar, and a Mickey Rice Krispie Treat!

I have never had it. But, I will try it, in Sept! From other posters versions. Schoolbread, is like a big thick doughnut, filled with a creamy custard. With a light sweet icing, all covered with coconut. Sounds yummy, especially, since I love coconut. You can get it from the pavillion in Norway.

Well, I have never had the school bread in Norway.....because I cannot get past two of my other favorite treats there.

1) The warm cinnamon doughnut with chocolate icing.....YUMM!!!

and

2) The apple danish served there....OMG!! It is seriously the best thing I have had at WDW!! I swear, they must pick and serve the apples on the same day....it is the freshest fruit danish I have ever had!!

My other faves....corn dog minis at Casey's on main st....funnel cake from America in Epcot.....macaroni and cheese from ANY WDW site....yummm!!! (Harbour house has a kids meal with mac 'n cheese, grapes and goldfish crackers...one of my favorite snacks)...and, last but NOT least....the grilled chicken salad with pecan shallot vinegarette dressing from Le Cellier!!

Oh...I almost forgot....ANYTHING from Beaches 'n Cream, and gelato from the Marketplace (both at the Beach Club resort).

The No Way Jose from Beaches and Cream!!!!

I'm curious, what is the Coconut Pyramid?

I have to get a kaki gori from Japan every trip (preferably melon flavored). The cloudberry horn and strawberry cheesecake from the Norwegian bakery and a Napolean or peach tart from the French bakery, a German chocolate cookie or chocolate covered cashew cluster from Germany are musts at Epcot. I also love the coated warm nuts from the stand on the right just as you enter World Showcase.

At MK gotta have a Dole Whip float from Aloha Isle and an ice cream sandwich from Sleepy Hollow. We also like the stawberry swirl at Enchanted Grove.

At AK frozen chocolate banana or a bowl of fresh pineapple while waiting for the parade to start.

At MGM I like the hot jalapeno cheese fillled pretzels while waiting for the parade. I also always get a raspberry white chocolate cookie or piece of fudge from the Villian's candy store on Sunset Blvd.

At DTD we like to sit beside the water and eat a frozen stawberry lemonade or anything from Goofy's candy factory.

At Beaches and Cream (Beach Club) try a Kitchen Sink or No Way Jose Sundae.

You must be related to DH and I. :)

I would also add to your list the sweet pretzel at the Norwegian bakery.

In addition to the melon Kaki Gori at Japan, we like to have a glass of the plum wine at Matsunoma Lounge. Plus every year we buy a bottle of the plum wine and a bottle of cold sake and enjoy them at the resort with our new sake set or glasses we also get from the Japanese Pavilion. This has turned into a nice tradition. :cloud9:

Strawberry Minnie bars for DH at loads of places. I like the cookies and cream ice cream sandwich shaped like Mickey's head.

Those choc. dipped marshmallow things they sell at MGM at the candy shop next to the Villains Shop.

Frozen lemonade or other slushy drinks sold at various places. There is a good place next to Test Track for these, a few in MGM, and also at Goofy's in DTD.

It's funny the junk you let yourself eat on vacation. :teeth:

As for the junk we let ourselves eat on vacation..... You should see some of the junk I've let myself eat after spending a couple hours on the food porn thread! ;)

No kidding. I second that one. Yesterday I was devoting so much time to researching menus and restaurants that I couldn't stop going to the kitchen for treats. :rotfl:

A root beer float from the Refreshment Cool Post inbetween China and Germany at Epcot. Nice little tables to give the tootsies a rest. And last year, the bridge there opened up, and we got to see the huge globe used in Illuminations float out to the lagoon.

And as always - a Mickey bar! Gotta love 'em!

I'll second the apple Danish at Norway!! Yummy!
I've never tried the schoolbread. I didn't realize it was filled with custard. I'm going to have to try that now.

This was our favourite surprise find last February . . .we each had one and then picked up four more to have later while watching Illuminations. For those with a sweet tooth this is a MUST HAVE!! :cheer2:

Can't go without having CHEESE FRIES from Casey's on Main Street in the MK! I respect a sweet tooth had one while pregnant but I am a CHEESE GIRL all the way!!!!

My must haves:

Strawberry Swirl from Emchanted Grove at MK (they also serve the best frozen lemonade!)

Funnel cakes from the American Pavillion or Sleepy Hollow

Frozen Sunshines from Beaches & Cream

My friend got me into chocolate covered mickey krispies... :)

I have to say Disney has the best chicken fingers in the world. Don't know how or why, but they are darn good.

Dole whip, Mickey bars, school bread and caramel apples  :mickeybar
