Park News - (3/28/12) It may be blasphemy to some, especially in Disney fan circles, but I’m not a Dole Whips fan. (I just don’t care for Pineapple… what can I say?) That said… fans of the creation who also love thrill rides may be interested to know that Dole Whips are now being sold at Six Flags Magic Mountain at the former Johnny Rockets location that was near the now demolished Log Jammer.

Actually anyone can buy the mix and sell Dole Whips.

No matter what they say on the various tours, you can get Dole Whips outside of Disney Parks and the Dole Plantation.

Many people have posted that their little mom and pop ice cream place on the corner has served it for years.

One thing though is that Dole no longer calls it Dole Whip but Dole Soft Serve.

I made Dole Whips at home  I bought the soft serve mix, it's a powder, from this site http://www.uec-hawaii.com/products2.html and put it in my Cuisinart ice cream maker. Make it and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and it tasted like Disney World!!! The consistency was a little different but everyone loved it. I can't wait until the next time.

I can get them 5 miles from my house at the new Orange Leaf yogurt shop they just opened! I also get them in Hawaii at the Dole Plantation.

After years of ready about them, I finally tried one! Didn't like it!:confused3
I so wanted to.

I noticed they sold them @ an old fashioned amusement park in PA. And berry sounds amazing!!!

I've made them at home too. Taste exactly the same. Even better when you add a little pineapple run. ;) Jack would be so proud.

I didnt like them either. I like pineapple, but didnt see what was special about these. I ate half and threw the rest out. I just dont get why they get the raves they do. :confused3

I've heard so many raves about them too. And maybe this is a stupid question, but what in the heck is a dole whip? And where do you buy them in the parks?

A Dole Whip or Dole Soft Serve is a non fat frozen soft serve desert, its not ice cream or frozen yogurt or even what Dairy Queen sells. Its lactose free and for some could be called non dairy, but it does have some sodium caseinate in it.

You can buy it in WDW at Aloha Isle in the MK or Captain Cook's in the Poly.

At the MK you can get pineapple, orange or vanilla by themselves or in a swirl. There is also a float option with Dole Whip in Pineapple juice, Coke or Root Beer (I think most only mix the vanilla with the Coke or Root Beer.)

They serve Dole Whip in the dining hall at my univeristy. They will rotate through typical ice cream flavors, special ice cream flavors (Chai, Root Beer, Dulce de Leche, etc) and the Dole flavors including my favorite, the pineapple, but also strawberry, raspberry and orange. Pineapple Dole Whip days make the worst days much better!

we got dole whips @ Dole plantation in Hawaii I was so happy for that!

They have Dole Whips at a local ice cream place here called Jumpin' Jacks. They have different flavors as well. I LOVE the lemon one...Which happens to be the flavor of the day today(it rotates). I see a trip there after dinner...

I hope Six Flags Great Adventure jumps on the Dole Whip bandwagon, my DD would be a happy girl!!

I was a one-woman campaign to get our local ice cream place to do them. They agreed that, if I brought my own pineapple juice, they'd recreate Dole Whip floats for me. I spread the word at work to people who love Disney and they started doing the same thing.

Now, in a few weeks, they'll start serving the real deal, thanks to me starting it, getting others to join in, and getting all the "I'll have what she's having" comments at the window when I ordered. LoL!

I just had their pineapple yogurt the other night and I was surprised just how much it tasted like a Dole Whip.
