Dole Whips - is there a site w/ ingredients listed?

I can tell you that about two years ago we asked if they added sugar to them. Took them about 15 minutes to find out (for which we were nicely compensated with some front-of-the-line passes :-)) but it turns out that they do. I don't eat refined sugar and, for the life of me, can't understand why pineapple needs to be sweetened. I asked at the guest service booth near the entrance to Adventureland and they were able -- after a fashion -- to get the entire ingredients list.

Hope this helps a bit.

ugh, we'd all be better off drinking soda!

another reason that i'm glad we just stick to plain old water while at DLR.

Interesting reaction!

The list of ingredients is amazing, isn't it? It's not even a food! And of course anyone with corn problems can't have it, b/c of the dextrose and the cs solids (the last being why my husband and son had HUGE reactions, as they can't have corn once it's turned into a syrup). It's sad that it's such junk.

Then again, to me, it tasted like melted plastic with pineapple flavoring might taste like, so no big loss.

Interesting reaction!

Oh my - we have a long list of reactions!! :rolleyes1

DD is sensitive to wheat...it causes eye swelling. When she DOESN'T eat it, she can see w/o her glasses! All dark circles fade.

I won't list them all...but those two are the most intense. Well..not counting peanuts, that is. That would be severe inflammation through out the system until it's..well, eliminated.

Our snacks will be limited bc we just don't KNOW what we're really getting. :headache:

And if you're a vegetarian or keep kosher, be aware that mono and diglycerides are usually derived from animal products, unless specifically listed as "vegetable" or "kosher" mono and diglycerides.

Oh my gosh...seriously? Aughhhhhh. That might be me. Does she have other reactions to wheat? Or is that "it"? I've always blamed the circles under my eyes on dairy, but I could live with it...I've been wondering recently about just how I feel in general when I eat wheat...could it be I've always been sensitive?

During our whole corn syrup (and assorted related ingredients) learning process, I discovered that gluten and dairy CAN cause the same violent reactions that DS has with corn syrup etc. I had NO idea that dairy, or gluten of course, could do that!

And now to find out about the inflammation your DD experiences with wheat...wow. Thank you.

As a Dole Whip lover, I am so sad to see this. :sad2: Guess I may just be enjoying pineapple spears or juice from now on.

YUM!!!! I'll take a Whip and a Spear!:thumbsup2

Can I just say that it strikes me as a tad ironic that Wonka eats no refined sugar :lmao:.

Who'd have thought a Dole Whip wasn't a food. Just when you think you're picking something *kinda* good, they go and ruin it for ya :confused3:rolleyes:

It has all stuff in it that i would not normally eat on a regular basis but I figure...hey once or twice a year wont kill me.

These, the pretzels and the Mickey ice cream sandwiches are the only 3 snacks besides fruit adn veggies that I could eat last time....I dont give anything else up at DL or WDW unless im allergic to it...

Unfortunately, now I might not be able to eat dole whips anymore because I was told to stay away from coconut until i can get re tested next month:sad2:

Oh my gosh...seriously? Aughhhhhh. That might be me. Does she have other reactions to wheat? Or is that "it"?

You're welcome & we still haven't figured out the wheat vs dairy thing....everytime she has both (ie; pizza) she has to go #2...a lot. So I'm still confused because cheeseburgers (wheat & dairy again) she has no issues. W/ #2 I mean.

In my pics you can see she has no glasses on - this was a wheat free period (except for DL) & she didn't need her glasses at all. But I'm blind as a bat so I assume the bad eyesight will catch up no matter how she eats...

I would have to assume that all the folks posting here have gone to see a board certified allergist and have had test done(not the useless Rast testing.) to avoid an anaphylactic condition. You all are carrying epipens, benadryl and prednisone for those just incase senarious???

Great! Self diagnosing and treatment sometimes lead to really bad results. What I hear is that I do not want to pay the money to see a specialist and then something happens and for some reason they forgot they should have.
Wonderful that you are seeing a naturopath. They are often left out and they can provide great assitance in the patients care plan as long as everyone is communicating with each other..

Love my naturopath :lovestruc For 3 yrs since I started seeing him I'm no longer insane due to crazy-lady hormones! :lmao: But in all seriousness because 3 out of 4 of us do have a plethora of allergies it was important to take a HUGE step towards our health...& understanding it. We love to vacation - even just camping or day trips & because of that love we really try & investigate before going. So we CAN try new things! We just really go by the motto of Everything in Moderation. :thumbsup2
