Dole Whips at Menchie's Frozen Yogurt!

We have a new Menchie's Frozen Yogurt in our town (Tacoma, WA) and I stopped by there today. I was so pleasantly surprised to find they have pineapple Dole Whips! I asked the manager if they were the "real thing," and she confirmed that they were. She said they're not allowed to advertise that they're the same as the Disney version, but they're the geniune Dole brand "soft serve dessert." It was such a nice surprise!

I'm sorry, but we've never had one but heard they are very good and my DH loves pineapple. Could you also tell me where we can get them (DTD, parks or resorts, etc.)? Thank you!

You can get them at Magic Kingdom (in Adventureland) or at Captain Cook's restaurant at the Polynesian. I like them a lot!

We have a frozen yogurt chain here in CT called Peachwave and they too have the Dole pineapple soft serve. I, however, have decided to "save" it for my dole whip float at WDW though.

Yup!! They just opened a Menchies in our neighborhood too and we are thrilled to pieces about the Dole Whip

We've been there about 4 times in 10 days. Whoops!

Love having it available like this. It is totally the same as Disney. Magical.

Dole whip is a mostly non dairy, lactose free soft serve in 7 flavors including pineapple (what most people mean when they say Dole Whip). Yes the vanilla and orange they serve at WDW is also Dole Whip (actually Dole Soft Serve its real name)

Its been available for everyone for years but its only now starting to pop up in more and more places. Maybe because the fruit flavors are now vegan.

And yes its the same as in WDW. The reason they may not be able to say that its not because Dole is saying so but WDW probably would sick their lawyers on them, so Dole tells them not to.

The closest Menchie's for me is in Erie, PA, 90 miles away.

Wonderful!! Non-dairy. We are taking our 5 yr old grandson in May; he can have yogurt but not ice cream due to allergies. Sounds like he can enjoy also. We have never seen the Poly so was thinking tour the resort, get Dole Whips and maybe see the fireworks. Thanks for filling me in on them!!

Only the pineapple is totally non dairy, but there is a possibility of cross contamination due to the fact the the dry mix is mixed in the same containers. Also the machines are twist machines so there is vanilla right next to it.

But as I re read your post you say he can have yogurt. Is it a lactose thing? Because I've tried frozen yogurt and trust me you don't want to be a round me if I have it.

But all are lactose free. The vanilla and chocolate have a small amount sodium caseinate the same thing that's in NON dairy creamer.

He also has a tree protein allergy to fruit that grows on trees but can have citrus/tropical fruits. Avoiding them keeps him out of the er so we do it.

A sign for a new Menchies went up next to our grocery store a few weeks ago. I just about died since I've spent ages contemplating a long drive to PA. I am going to haunt that place as soon as it opens until I get my Dole Whip. So happy!!! I hope I just don't discover we've run out of milk or bread and have to run out to the store on a daily basis....

Oh, bummer! When I was talking to the manager at our store, she said they rotate flavors. Try asking for the pineapple - our store takes "requests!"

There's lots of Menchie's down here in Louisiana. They rotate flavors frequently, weekly if I'm not mistaken. Maybe two weeks. So if they don't have pineapple now, check back later!

We just got one in our neighborhood a couple of months ago so far we've already wracked up free yogurt twice .

I will definitely have to try the pineapple next time I see it there. I love that you can sample it before you buy it. I wonder how the pineapple & fruit punch sorbet would taste together.

The local family-owned ice cream place on the corner by me has Dole Whip, but I've never eaten it because after two trips to WDW I still haven't had a Dole Whip and I want my first one to be there

Woo hoo! We have a Menchie's opening in our city soon. I hope they have the pineapple Dole Whip as I've never tried one. Well, I've had a Dole Whip Float but that's not the same.
