Dole Whip is a non-dairy product & has 80 calories and .5 grams of fat per 1/2 cup serving. (35mg sodium, 15g carbohydrate, 13g sugar)

If anyone has any questions, just let me know....

I recenlty found out while dole wip is non dairy, it does have casien in it. This is a milk protein so anyone who is allergic to milk (as my DD is) can't eat it.) However it does not have lactose in it. (good news for some.)

I had always wondered about this. We were on vacation in Canada a couple of years ago and this little ice cream shop had pineapple soft serve. They didn't call it "Dole Whip" but Dole something. I told my DH that is tasted just like Disney. He just said "you've got it bad" The kids thought that was funny.

I have to admit, I did try the dole whip recipe that's on intercot & it doesn't even come close to the real thing.

There are also 2 more recipes floating around out there & none of them work either. I'm so glad that I found the real thing!

But if you look at the first post, there is some kind of mix you can purchase to use in an ice cream machine that tastes very similiar to an actual Dole Whip.

That is the info I am looking for!

Both of these companies sell the actual Dole Whip mix. I've made it again & again & it's wonderful! Because I don't have a commercial soft serve machine, the consistancy is different, but it definately tasts the same.

I make pineapple floats and have found that it's really good blended with malibu rum & pineapple juice!!!
