I'm a Dole Whip addict and have been searching for a way to enjoy Dole Whips (pinapple floats) here at home.....
Well, after trying, numerous times to duplicate the flavor, and trying complicated recipes, I've finally found a way to make REAL Dole Whip!
It turns out, that people can buy the actual Dole Whip mix! It comes in a bunch of flavors (including Pineapple, raspberry and even mango) and can be made in an ice cream machine! (I used the Lello 4070)
It's about $30 a bag, but each bag makes 72 servings, which workd out to be about 40 cents per serving which is quite a bit less expensive than WDW. I also have the nutritional info for anyone interested:
Dole Whip is a non-dairy product & has 80 calories and .5 grams of fat per 1/2 cup serving. (35mg sodium, 15g carbohydrate, 13g sugar)
