Dole Whip

I am posting this here because I associate Dole whips with the Magic Kingdom

My tiny little local Ice Cream place sells Doll Whips (when it is open in the summer) would you have it local or save it for that special treat.

Dole Whips are a pineapple flavored soft serve frozen dessert served over pineapple juice.

They are one of the best treats in the World.

They have them at our little ice cream place, too. When they have the pineapple flavor, I grab a can of pineapple juice and take it with me to make myself a float. People must think I'm nuts.

I would eat a Dole Whip anytime of the day, or year...it reminds me of WDW, though they would probably taste better there! (You know, they have a self-serve Dole Whip machine at the Poly now...more incentive to stay there... )

Well head north from WDW about 1200 miles or so and wait till it warms up a bit (-4°) this morning and I will buy you one.

Dole Whips are Soft Serve Ice Cream "whipped" with Pineapple Juice.

Here's a list of "Dole Whip Facts"

1. The Dole Whip "Store" (a couple of windows in the side of a building, really) is called "Aloha Isle".

2. Aloha Isle is located in MK/Adventureland, just inside from the Hub, across the walkway from the Swiss Family Treehouse.

3a. Until recently, AI was the only place in all of WDW to get a Dole Whip.
3b. You can now also get a Dole Whip at the Polynesian Resort, at Capt. Cook's CS restaurant (inside the Longhouse, downstairs, near the pool.)

4. "Dole Whip" is the ICE CREAM (soft serve) treat, itself.

5. "Dole Whip Float" is "unwhipped" pineapple juice with the Dole Whip added to it (floating in the juice).

6. You can order the Dole Whip alone (which is what we prefer) or you can order the "Float".

Regardless, the Aloha Isle is always listed on my WDW itinerary...
Gotta have at least one Dole Whip, per trip (are you hip?)

I know, I am crazy - ! I am going to get one on my trip this weekend. I am sorry I never heard of them before. I feel bad Does this not make me DIS enough

It's just a tasty treat - but I have never enjoyed a Dole Whip while in WDW.

I voted for only having it at MK because I don't typically go to icecream parlors/donut shops/etc. when I'm home. I love looking forward to my sweet treat favorites in WDW (Dole Whips, Minnie fruit bars and frozen bananas are my top three. My fourth is the egg rolls at the stand near the Dole Whips)!

I am cold here today and it's only 48; I can't even imagine it being -4. But you know we will all start complaining "it's too hot" when it's 95 and 100% humidity in a couple of months! Floridians are weather sissies.

I like the pineapple floats a little better myself, but I would save them for the parks..unless I thought I wouldn't be able to make it back to WDW for a long time. Then all bets are off!

Dole Whips......easily the most over-hyped food at the World. It's pineapple flavored soft serve.

It's ironically located just a stone's throw from the most over-hyped attraction at the World............P of the C.

Both are fine, I just don't see what the hullabaloo is all about.

I would probably save it for DW as a special treat, but then again if it reminds you of WDW then it might be worth it to have it once in a while!

I would definitely enjoy Dole Whips at my local ice cream place if they served them. For me, it's not just a MK treat.
