Dole Whip Whereabouts

Dole Whip-
I didn't see anyone give you the LOCATION of DW, a VERY important fact! The Aloha Isle is located right next to the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
It is my FAVORITE! When were at WDW the past 2 times, the 'hut' was closed for renovations
Needless to say, eating Dole Whip is on my top 5 list of things to do in WDW. Only 23 days until I'll have one.

Does anyone know how long Dole Whips have been around? It seems like forever... I swear they had them when I was a kid and I am 38. I also remember the swirls of vanilla ice cream with orange juice being around, for sale right by the Tiki Birds.

Who knows how old the Dole Whip stand is?

Please tell me they still have the orange juice swirl somewhere. It's the thing I remember best from my early MK trips. Next to Vegita-Beta, it's what I look forward to most this trip.

The OJ swirls are there, right outside where you exit the Tiki Birds. I think it's called "Sunshine Terrace." YUM

The one thing that is a must for me when I visit is Dole Whip.
Everything else pales to that.

I love Dole Whips! They are a must have treat. But on a trip I was so depressed. I passed the Dole Whip stand, but I wasn't hungry yet. When I decided later to go back and get one they had closed the stand for the day! It was the middle of the afternoon! I was so bummed.

Lesson learned: Next time I pass the stand I get one hungry or not.

Someone in this thread mentioned that Dole Whips are non-dairy. Is there somewhere/someone that I can confirm this? My daughter is allergic to all dairy products, and if this is true....it would be wonderful news!!!!

I think I'm going to have to get one this time around. A little ice cream place here in town used to have Dole Whip years ago...they'd have a new flavor every week.

Are so cool! I dispatched my Mom to Home Depot since we don't have one here in Indiana. Home Depot offers Disney brand paint, and the little color swatches (the free ones you can take home) are in the shape of Mickey's head! Mom got me a couple for my trip in June. If you see a lime green Mickey badge, you know the person is a DIS-er (as well as a Home Depot customer).

I also love the Dole Whips. They are great. My DH love the ice cream sandwiches which you can get at the bakery on main street. As a WW I do not eat them, but do get the Dole Whips and they are great. Believe me you can lose when you are at Disney. For the past four of five times I have been there, I have lost between 2 to 5 lbs each time, including eating dole Whips It can be done.

AbercrombieNstitch, I wish I could make it May 5....but we don't arrive at WDW until June 11. I can guarantee that sometime during the ToonTown pin event I WILL be making a trip to the Sunshine Terrace though !!!

I'll make everyone a deal....have a Dole Whip for me on May 5 and I'll have one for you on June 14......is it a deal? How many am I going to have to talk Stephen into eating ??

Hummmmm. I'd like to try one of these myself. However, I'm having an ice cream at 1:00 at the Ice Cream Parlor (remember our minimeet there on the 5th,) and I'm afraid that a Dole Whip at 12:00 or 3:00 would be a little too close to the ice cream. Can we set it for later in the day?

And A biggggggggg Bummer..... Home Depot is out of LIME green Mickey heads..... they have every other color though... gee I wonder where they went????
