Dole whip or Float?

Okay... I'm confused... I have read about the Aloha Isle and the Dole Whips and they are a MUST at Disney. I am confused if the dole whip(and which flavor) or if the Dole Whip Float is a must... Someone ...anyone... please help...

subbing....curious to know what people have to say...I've only every done the dole whip - I think I've been too chicken to even try the float, although I'm not even sure how one could mess up dole whip

I am not an expert but I think pineapple Dole Whip is the flavor of choice...then the pineapple Dole Whip would have pineapple juice.

Dole whip refers to the flavor of soft serve and is soft serve.

Dole whip float is that soft serve in a cup with fresh pineapple juice.


I confused my husband when sending him for "Dole Whips". He had one with me before and knew mine had juice. When he got just ice cream he asked the CM, who said that they get that a lot (People wanting the float and ordering the 'dole whip' - I am guessing they're Dis'ers. ) The CM was really cool about it and fixed it for him.

Dole Whip Float that is the best. I tried just the pineapple soft serve and it just doesn't have the zing of the float with pineapple juice. That is a must for all trips to Magic Kingdom now.

I had the dole whip and DH had the float - both are really yummy. So refreshing on a hot day. The only bad thing with the dole whip is that it melts really fast so get to a shady place as soon as you get it.

The also had chocolate and vanilla soft serve and you could get a pineapple and vanilla swirl too.

You can get a Dole Whip with just Pineapple flavor soft ice cream or with a Pineapple Vanilla Swirl OR a Float with either of the two flavors. The guy working there last week suggested the swirl with the float...not as sweet as just the pineapple alone. YUMMY!!

MMM.... both! The pineapple whip itself is delicious, but is very sweet, the juice really helps even it out. I totally dig sweets, so I can do it either way, but I think I prefer the float. But really, they're both delicious- you can't go wrong!

The dole whip float is awesome! I think the float with the pineapple juice added just makes the pineapple whip that much more yummy! They offer two other great flavors with Strawberry Swirls at the Enchanted Grove in Fantasyland and Citrus Swirls at the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland! Also, you can buy the pineapple dolewhip at the Poly in Cap'n Cooks, and
it's selfserve. Can't wait to go have some next month!

I'm all about the float myself, but my DH swears the pineapple soft serve is the only way to go. I say who wouldn't want ice cream AND pineapple juice? Who, I ask!?!?

I had a float with the pineapple Dole Whip in pineapple juice. I found the Dole Whip to be very bland but the juice gave it decent flavor.

I think when people are talking about Dole Whip they mean Pineapple flavoring.

With that said, I am a pineapple holic and I love the pineappley goodness of a Dole Whip float!

Oh yea, the dole whip float hands down, when the soft serve starts melting into the juice, oh my was it good.

It's really the same, only the float has pineapple juice in it. It's kind of stickier and messier but it's still really good.

Another option is the Dole Whip float which is Dole whip soft serve served in a tall glass with Dole pineapple juice. Also very good.

Both are essentials,but it comes down to preference. Would you rather sip your float through a straw or eat soft serve with a spoon?

Another vote for Dole Whip float. I like to let my dole whip melt a little to make the pineapple juice colder.
