Doing your washing/laundry

I admit I am a saddo, I can't stand dirty washing and most of our long holiday's means I do my washing somewhere. We're at Port Orlean's but wondering if I should take my own washing tablets as ds is allergic to a lot of powders and we would hate to cause a reaction to his skin. I know you can buy the little packs but has anyone else taken their own tablets and used them ok?

Hi we've took tablets before but after a bursting incident. we now stick to using the packets over there, the machines at POR have many powder choices

I took several two tablet packs to California last year and used them fine in the machines out there.

Take your own. I have a lot of reactions to detergents so have to be careful what we use. found a lot of the U.S. soaps have bleach already in them

We too have sensitive sins - me the most - we always take a few tablets with us and just double wrap them in zip lock bags just in case.

I usually take the tablets that are 2-in-1 soap and conditioner, and also take a couple of tumble dryer sheets as well



BTW - I also put a tumble dryer sheet in the empty suitcase before it goes back in the loft - keeps it smelling sweet

Do what I do
make a big deal of Poor me having to do the washing ( working on holidays is just not fun )
then leave him to look after the kids and get a book put on the washing sit at the pool with a book and sun bath until it is ready
What a hard days work
this is usually the only free time I get to myself
so Make the most out of it
and enjoy


Oh Ya
lots of people take there own powder
and if you have to buy it , it is cheaper in the shop at PO

We always take our own laundry tablets our sensitive skin reacts with the powder from the vending machines, we usually need to do a load every 5 days or so. We'll be taking some bounce sheets too for the dryers(I always clean out the fluff filter)sad I know but I like clean clothes that are easy to iron
