I can't believe it is finally at the single digits!!!!!

Have made up my room requests to fax and am wondering when to send the second one. I arrive on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and was wondering if faxing it next Tuesday is too early. Also, since my first ressie is arriving the day after Thanksgiving, I'm wondering if I should still wait until 4 days out.

Around the holidays, do they assign rooms further out than 4 days? If so, when should I send it? I am going to call to confirm everything the day before I leave, but since that would be on Thanksgiving day, will it be too hectic for a CM to help me?

Thanks again!!!

Holy cow, I'm in single digits too... didn't even realize it until just now! Time flies when you're... hard at work, I guess!

I've never actually faxed about reservations before. I usually stay at the Wilderness Lodge, but this time am staying at Port Orleans Riverside. How important is it, really, to fax a request? (I'm not real particular about where they stick me, truth be told... I just wanna be at Disney!)

Congrats to you all on your up comming trips.

My wife and I had to postpone our December trip to WDW until September but for a good reason. A friend of ours got us a really good deal on airfare and a hotel package for Hawaii during new years and we couldn't pass that oportunity up since it's probably going to be a once in a life time trip. We were so looking forward to WDW during Christmas time and I know that this might sound funny, but we are a little disapointed and are really envious of all of you for going.

We hope that you all enjoy your trips and please make sure to come back here and tell us all about your time at WDW.

We have always done very well by asking when we check in with any requests.

If you feel you must make a fax request be sure to keep it simple. The more you ask for the less likely you are to get it.

I think I'll wait and send them both down Tuesday, then firm things up on Thursday. With the Caribbean Beach, I already requested a room close to the main building, since I will be there solo. Besides that & a non-smoking room, that's all I requested there. At the Wilderness Lodge, I'm looking for something a little more specific, but will send it and see what happens. When I faxed last year, I got exactly what I asked for and it was perfect!!!

Thanks again and to all you other single digit people,

Ya Hoo!!! Let's do the HAPPY, HAPPY Mickey Mouse Dance!!!!!

No, that's fine. Tuesday is the five day out mark.

Four days is fine.

They can't assign them any further out because they do not download them from the DRC computers until 5 days out. THe holidays have no effect on that.

Then confirm on Wednesday if you're worried. I really doubt that anyone at a Disney resort would ever tell a caller that it's too hectic for them to assist you, especially since the phones for the resorts are answered in the office, not out at the front desk check in area.

I faxed down the preferences on Tuesday and will give a call tonight to confirm both reservations. I think I am a little more concerned with CBR than WL, since I arrive tomorrow, but hopefully will be close to the main building.

Thanks again!!!
