We, too got an upgrade....we didn't get our docs yet, but I checked on the DCL website and we booked a cat 11 and were signed a cat 9!!!

how do you see your rooms? is there a link when you get your cruise documents?....does it matter if you reserved with a travel agent--has anyone here gotten an upgrade from a TA reservation or always a direct DCL reservation?

We booked w/ Dreams Unlimited this past Jan (or maybe early Feb.) That's why I was surprised that we got an upgrade. This is our first cruise so I am SO EXCITED! The upgrade is just icing on the cake.

You can ask for and pay for an upgrade at port during check in if one is available. Lots of others do this too so you would have to be close to the front of the line unless your ship is not that full.

The upgrades that are talked about here are upgrades that were done by DCL as kind of a "gift" because of people buying rooms at guaranteed status or for some other unknown reason that most of us cannot figure out. These are upgrades that cannot be requested because it is assumed anyway that everyone wants a better cat for the same price!

I booked a gty cabin 11 for my mother and sister. They received an upgrade to a category 9 on the 4/24 Magic. My only concern is their cabin location. They were assigned cabin 2000, which is the cabin most forward on deck 2. The "Passporter" indicates this location is rather noisy with constant vibration. Anyone have any experience with that location?
