doing the add-on!--when are points avail?

Well, we ARE doing the addon and my guide is putting the paperwork in the mail.
I need the 02 and 03 points for the "land" portion of our cruise stay--11 months is next Monday and it's over 4th of July(nights of July 3,4,5).
If all the points are not available, do you think a waitlist will be successful for this very busy time, if the 2BRs are gone by the time I can book?
I still have all of my current VWL points for 04--I may borrow those and then use the new '03 points in '04 (hope you can follow that). But I have to use the new '02 points next year.

I think once they get your deposit you can book your rooms.... If not call your guide.... sometimes they can hold a ressie for you until all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed....

Not sure I followed everything correctly. If you have to bank any of the add on points, I think you have to wait until closing to do that.

If you have to wait to book (and don't want to borrow 2004 points), consider booking the weeknight portion of your trip first. Since weekend nights seem to be less popular (wonder why? LOL), I doubt they would be gone before your add on contract closes. Good luck!

We just added on at BCV yesterday and our guide told us that our points are in our account today. We, too, are wanting to make reservations for next July 4th. When we told him that we were wanting to bank the points and make the reservation next week, he didn't indicate that we needed to wait until closing.

You can not bank or borrow points until you close, although sometimes guides can work a little magic.. We did an add on to our contract at BCV and it was recorded in 17 days. This was a cash transaction so maybe it went a little faster.
