Finally!! Arriving next Friday at SSR after 9 months of being away from the mouse. My work ethic is beginning to erode. I cannot concentrate. My wife is running around trying to figure out what to bring (and we've been there at least 15 times together).
Due to major surgery, we have been trying to change to BWV or BCV (home resort) since I'm still somewhat weak (amazing how an operation can take all your energy) and wanted to be closer to the parks and the boardwalk area so I could walk back to the room if I needed to. Doc advised me to get sun so Disney was the first choice. And we do not have to spend the weekend thinking about racking leaves.
Called daily for the last two months and nothing came through (due to MNSSHP and Food & Wine Festival crowds) till today!!! Two nights opened up in BWV for the last two nights of our 4 day visit during halloween. However those two nights cost 1 more point than we had (including borrowing from 2010) and they initially would not give it to us. I offered to pay cash but nothing available. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and at that point, magically, MS figured out a way and we are staying at BWV.
Only downside is that due to DS's Marching Band commitments, we cannot leave CT till 9pm arriving 11:30pm getting to SSR probably 1am. Yikes. At that point I don't care if we have to sleep in Rainforest Cafe.
Let the excitment begin!!! Have not packed and DS is still trying to figure out his costume. Orlando Temps forecasted in the mid 80's. I'm going dressed as a tourist.
