Doing split stay...how to handle switch?

We are staying at POFQ first night and CR for 3 more. We have our car so what's the best plan our second day?? Go check in ourselves first thing in the am or have the resort transfer our bags and go tour then check in after lunch?

When we switched from Pop to Poly in Sept, we just called and had our luggage transferred (didn't have to be in the room) and then went to lunch, then went and checked in. We made it a lazy pool day and went to MNSSHP that night.
It was very easy and smooth.
