Okay so I decided to go with the Deluxe Dining plan for our trip 12/24-30 and I have noticed that a lot of people on here with Deluxe DP have not done many QS, is this because they're trying to get their money's worth?

Heres our plan so far for dining:

so looking at my plan do you think I'll lose money with the deluxe dining plan? Any suggestions for dining would be helpful too-i've got two boys DS2 (will be 3) DS4 (turning 5 while there!) :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

Personally that is alot of restaurant time, and TS meals with small kids during the Busiest time of the year at the world.

Okay so do you think I should cut the Playhouse Disney breakfast or the Crystal Palace because those are the two I am really up the air about

Also the Grand Floridian cafe is just my way of passing the time while DS5 goes on the Pirate cruise at GF so it will just be me and the little one

You might want to double check on TREX I don't believe it is on the dining plan I know it's owned by the same ppl as rain forest and they have yet to be on there.

:sad2: You're right they don't take Deluxe DP at Trex.. my son would love that restaurant though so maybe i'll pay out of pocket for that one
i've read that sometimes Disney lets guest trade dining credits for snack credits anyone ever experienced this?? because if so it would be a good thing for my extra dining credits if we end up not using them all

We love the DxDP, enjoy sitting down for meals and don't mind the time away from riding. That being said, I'm not sure I would have done it if my kids were the ages yours are. You know your kids best, though, so for you it might work. Have an awesome time. You'll love the Poly!

I agree! I would consider the regular dining plan and only 1 TS meal a day, probably character buffets. You will not have time to enjoy the parks and will just be touring the restaurants.

If you want to maximize the plan, add in the 2 TS credit dining experiences...like a buffet for breakfast, have some snacks in the park and an early signature dining meal. In January!! If you go at the busiest time of year, you will wait for rides and meals.

We actually did a cost analysis from the deluxe plan on our last trip, and we actually ended up spending more money on the plan than we would have out of pocket. The only way it is a benefit is if you order the most expensive things or are going to eat a lot of signature dining places. This was just us though. I would do the regular.
