Doing HAPPY Dance! DD is Leukemia-Free!

DD (32) was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL+Ph) 9-21-09 worst day of our lives! She fought a very long battle, and on June 23, 2010 had a bone marrow transplant (donor found in Europe through Be The Match) This week her transplant Dr gave her results of her post-transplant bone marrow biopsy.... Leukemia-Free God has surely answered our many prayers!

A Lonnnngggg year- but now we look forward to our new life after-cancer. DD, DSiL and DGrD planning on joining us at WDW Oct 2011- That will certainly be the Ultimate Celebration!

For those that may be interested- the National Marrow Donor Program (Be The Match) is responsible for saving my Daughter's life. They found 1 perfect
(10/10) match in the world... on the donor registry in Europe!!! She only had a 30% chance of surviving without the transplant. With the transplant they are saying an 80% chance of a cure

Getting on the donor registry is so easy- it is just a cheek swab. We had a donor drive at my Granddaughter's school last year and got 90 people signed up at a pizza party! You never know when Leukemia, Lymphoma or any cancer could strike someone you know or love. You do have the power to save a Life!
