Doing Disney the Grand Way! July '10 (UD 7/14) TR link!

Everything looks like a blast... except Tuesday July 13th... you know the leaving part :( lol

Yesterday, my mom and I (my brothers tagged a long too) went shoe shopping!

I got fabulous new flipflops:

(My mom got these too, but in brown)

These are mainly for Disney, they are probably the comfiest flipflops I've ever worn! I can't wait to test them out this summer! I normally wear flipflops, because sneakers, crocs, sandals, ect. give me bad blisters when I walk too much.

My mom got Sperri's and the same flipflops as me, but like I said, in brown.

your flipflops look cute!

i've heard a little about captain EO, but not a lot. that link had some good info on it:thumbsup2

To give you more background on our Disney trips, I think we should go back in time...

My first trip to WDW was in 1999, when I was three years old. DB12 was 1 1/2 at the time, and DB11 was just born. My grandparents used to live in Flordia, so when we went down and visited them, we decided to go to the Magic Kingdom for a day.

Now, of course I can hardly remember this trip, pictures are the memories I have (no digital camera then, but I'll try to get the pics up later).

My grandparents went with us, and helped my parents out taking care of us. I know we stayed and watched the 8 o'clock fireworks, and then took the ferry to MK's parking lot.

Our next trip to WDW was in 2000, a year later. I was 4, DB12 was 2 1/2, and DB11 was 1. We did the same thing this trip, we had gone to visit my grandparents, and went down to Disney for a day with them. We only did MK, and mainly stayed in Fantasyland. (Again, sorry, no pics!)

Next trip was in 2002 (so, two years later). I was 6, and had a better memory. Again, we had gone to visit my grandparents, and went to Magic Kingdom for a day. Only this time, only my grandmother went with us. (No pics, sorry! I'll get on it)

Four years later, in July 2006, we were going again.
I was 10 years old
Hold on, this trip has a great back story!
Now, up until now, we've been going to WDW for one day trips- honestly, I didn't even know EPCOT, HWS, or AK even existed.
Well, my dad's best friend and his wife and two sons were going to WDW for a week, and they were renting a house. And we were going with them. My parents decided this in December of 2005, and they didn't tell us until a month or so before the trip.

A day before we left for WDW, my dad's friend and his family drove down from NY and stayed at our house. We were going to drive down to FL the next morning.

Bright and early, we hit the road, and drove the nine hours to FL. We went straight the the house, unpacked, and got ready for a week of Disney fun.

Not knowing three other parks even existed, we had a lot to do!
Our daily routine was about the same every day:
Wake up early
Have breakfast at the house
Drive to WDW
Go to one of the parks
Ride rides
Have one snack
go to another park
ride rides
stay pretty late
go back to the house and order pizza/stop by a restaurant on the way back

We were there for the rides, but, could you blame us? Not knowing WDW had so many rides to offer, and never riding most of them before.

We didn't spend much time with my dad's friend and his family while at the parks. They just did things differently then us...

That was the trip where I decided that Disney was a pretty special place. But I wasn't quite in love with it yet, that all would happen on our next trip, when we really did it all!

Cute update :cutie:
I never went to Disney when I was younger, I wish I could've though!
