** Trip Dates- November 7th through November 13th**
My MIL surprised me about a month ago with plans for an all expense paid trip to WDW. I have been wanting to go to WDW since I was 7 years old. I am now 36 years old, so this is a dream 31 years in the making. My girls are 10 and 12 and to me they are the perfect age for this. So I was super excited.

The first thing we had to do was make sure the girls would fly. They have never been in a plane before and both of them are quite scared of them thanks to the news:( So I sat them down, sprang the trip on them, while they were screaming in joy I said, "we have to go by plane". I know now how to shut up tween girls that are screaming. I explained everything to them and to my surprise they are game. So all systems go. if anyone has any advice on how to make them more comfortable on the plane?

After this my MIL had surgery on her left hand, the one that she uses. No big deal, right? We had plenty of time to plan this trip, after all November was over 3 months away. Wrong, apparently Disney should be planned 180 Days in advance :scared1: So after one very frantic call to CM we were very lucky to get in mostly every reservation we wanted, except Le Cellier, big shock there, uh:rolleyes: The poor CM was confused but kept it very professional. Since my MIL couldn't write she had to have the CM on speaker using her cell phone and then had me on speaker using her house phone. So it was a 3 way call Flintstones style :lmao:

Well that meant I had to go into planning mode:lmao: Thank god for the DIS site:) Thanks to you guys I was able to add additional things to our trip and lucked out on some very special reservations. :woohoo: I will be including a full itinerary here soon.

So 1 week, 4 Parks, a trip never to be repeated. How do we get everything done we want to do? Stay tuned and find out:)

:rotfl:Like my new title? I changed it when I noticed that not one person responded to my pre-trip report. That is okay I am excited enough for everyone.:cool1: I had a freak out:scared1: moment last night when I realized all the ADR's have been made and I was finished. I mean this trip is not for 90 days. There is no way I can handle the excitement, I have to keep doing something.

As always, DIS'ers came through for me. I found out I can make a planning book, WHOO HOO! You see in my other life I am a Copyright Agent for several artists and a huge art licensing firm. My biggest hobby is making signature tags, scrap kits, and the like. So this is right up my alley,

I just have to figure out what kind of planning book I want? A Full size, one of the smaller 3 ring binder, or business cards? I don't think business cards are for me because they are so small I am sure to lose them. I am on the fence about a full size three ring binder because it may get heavy but a small 3 ring binder may be to small. Decisions, Decisions:confused:. I definitely want this to be a keepsake for my girls

So what kind of planning book do you have? Can I see a picture? I would love to get some ideas and of course I will share mine when I start it:):thumbsup2

That's awesome. I'll check out the blog but in the meanwhile, I'll subscribe here.

Thanks so much for stopping by:) You don't have to check out the blog if you don't want:) Both places will have the same thing so you can get everything here. I am getting our itinerary together so the next posts here will be all about what we are going to do.

Thanks for subscribing:)

Well it has been a dramatic day today LOL. First we get a Le Cellier reservation for 1:30 thanks to another DIS Member:):disrocks:

I thought I had everything planned until my daughter decides that she does not want to go to either restaurant she picked. Apparently another girl she knows went to Disney and said both places sucked. Sci-Fi Diner and Hollywood Vine:confused3 So I had to rush around and reserve to different places. Now I have 4 other restaurants to cancel, lol. I put my foot down though and said No More Changes!!! It is driving my "everything must be planned immediately" personality crazy. So now I have to totally re-do our itinerary, lol. :lmao:

Believe or not my 10 year old has no interest in the trip and when we do talk about the trip she gets bored. I think she doesn't believe we are going. She is just fine with her picks and really has no interest in seeing any other restaurants. Silly girl.:rotfl:

I started our special planning book today and also the girls autograph albums. I hope to have them done next week sometime. Also, thanks to another wonderful DIS member I will be making some special candy bars to take. So the girls will be getting a Autograph book, Journal, and special candy. But shhhh they do not know that:) Which is why I can't put it on my blog:)

Well hopefully I will be able to come in here soon and tell you what we have planned for the days we are there. First I have to re-do everything, lol.:upsidedow

I Bobbiekins! I just found your PTR & enjoyed reading it! I have a DD that is 10 too!
I also went on my 1st trip to WDW 2 years ago & was ecstatic the whole time! I am now planning our 2nd WDW trip. Come check it out, it has chapter links to make it easy to read!

I have mine posted on my PTR you can look at

We are going to Sci-Fi & I'm so excited about it! I think your daughters would have liked it!

Your 10 yr old may have no interest because she has no idea what it will really be like.
On our 1st trip, I was the only one excited. We drove down & on the way we stopped at some outlets in Fl. There were these rusted old carnival rides in the parking lot and my daughter asked me if that was WDW:confused::confused::confused:
:idea:That's when I realized why they were not excited as me, they didn't realize the scope of WDW!

Anyway, I can't wait to read more on your trip! Where are you staying?

I will join! Love the report so far. We are planning our first trip too. We are going in May though...so long to wait. My dd 15 doesn't seem that excited either. Of course at her age it just isn't cool to be excited. :lmao:

I am getting my things together to make a trip binder too. I am going to go with a full size one for now. I might add a small one to take into the parks with me. :confused3

omg, I am so sorry. It never let me know I had new messages:) I have subscribed to your trip report and will enjoy reading it tonight after the young ones go to bed:) I hope that is why she is not excited. I think it is hard for her to comprehend what she will be doing or seeing. I hope all goes well. Thanks so much for coming over:) See you over at your PTR:)

LOL! I am beginning to think it is not cool at 10 either:) Thanks so much for coming around. May is really far away. I think I would go nuts if I had to wait till May, lol. I think I am going to do the big one for our room and a small one for the parks. I am definitely doing the book bag style messenger bag for the park. Thanks for subscribing.

It has been a very hectic last couple of weeks. My girls went back to school today so hopefully everything will calm down and I can really get to WDW planning, lol. Due to the fact my MIL could get a cheaper flight if we left on Thursday the 4th instead of Sunday the 7th, we are now leaving on the 4th and spending a couple of days in Sea World. SQUEEE! I am so excited over this because going to Sea World is another dream of mine.

We got really lucky because we are staying in my MIL's time share and they were able to put us in a studio apartment the extra days. I was very glad because we will still be on the property which will make moving a little easier on Sunday. Has anyone stayed at Orange Lake before? I checked it out online and it looks amazing but everything always looks amazing on the internet. I just wonder if it will look that nice when we get there, lol.

I finally made the decision a little while ago to do two planning books. I am going to do a big one for our room and a small one for the park. I think that will be best. Also, I am going to do a messenger bag for my bag. I really like this one here:
http://www.verabradley.com/product/...ferralID=fd418c52-b433-11df-b8fb-001b2166c62d
It says it has room for folders and the like. I have never in my life spent 68.00 on a bag. But I want a very good quality one for WDW since I am going to be carrying it everywhere. What kind of bag do you guys carry? If you have some pics I would be grateful:cool1:

I am going to try to figure out how to do this in chapters so it will make it easier to read. If anyone has any tips I would be grateful. I am going to go back over my notes and probably post again today:yay:

Hi there. I know how you are feeling about no one reading your PTR, I felt the same way, but then people starting reading mine.

I made my trip planner 4x6 using a cheap photo album. I'm still working on it but I have a picture of the cover on my PTR. I'm going to put photos of the inside when its done.

I actually bought two bags for the park. One is this and this is the other.

I hope you have a great trip!

I love your messenger bag. I replied to your post on my page about the chp links. I hope I was able to explain it!

Yesterday was a monumental day in my house. I found a little site called E Bags ( thanks DIS'ers) and umm... well lets just say I have an addiction to hand bags.:upsidedow I was more excited then a toddler getting a candy fix.:yay: Poor Vera Bradley. She flew out the window so quick she never saw it coming. Anyway, yesterday I spent two hours there, yes, two hours.:rolleyes1 It was not a loss of time though. I have it narrowed down to two bags.
This one in either Pink or Lime Green:

and I found a couple of new hand bags for later indulgences, :woohoo:

It is such a hard decision. I want something stylish, functional, and durable. When I checked these bags out both got excellent ratings. I don't have much time, lol. I want to get it purchased soon. Plus I haven't even started on our planning book, the girls journals, or any of that important stuff. I need to get a move on :dancer:

They have that Travelmate in red at my TJ Maxx. I really liked it's small size, but I didn't get it. I bought a Baggallini backpack at TJ Maxx. Mine is Lime Green because that was the only color they had.

I like both the sling & travelmate that your looking at. I'm not sure which one to tell you that I like better because the sizes are so different.
But, I do like the color pink best!

And, I LOVE the hobo bag that your looking at!

Gosh, I can't believe it has been that long since I posted. My girls went back to school and trying to get into the groove has been hard. Here is a little bit about what has been going down with the Disney Trip:)

I finally decided on a handbag. I will be getting this one in Lime Green:
http://www.ebags.com/product/baggallini/messenger-slingbagg-rip-stop-nylon/18644?productid=66046

I started our planning book and have pics on my blog here:
http://doingdisneyseacriststyle.blogspot.com/2010/09/started-our-planning-book.html

This one will be in our room the whole time. Today at Micheal's they were having a 45% off sale on all the photo albums. So I ended up with an ultra cute photo album that holds 4 x 6 pics. I will be using that one for the parks. All it will have in it is our ressies and plans for each day, Important phone numbers and anything else we may need. I just don't want to lug around a huge notebook. As soon as I can get a pic I will upload it.

My oldest daughter has been really stressing over the trip. My MIL does not ride so she is afraid she will have to ride all the rides herself because I will have to ride with her sister. Since I have never been there before I don't know what to say to her. I would hate to tell her we can all ride together and then find out we can't. She is really shy and reluctant to ride with someone she doesn't know. So I am at my wits end over it. I guess if it comes down to it I will just ride it once with her and then ride it again with her sister. It also doesn't help she is afraid of the plane. She swears it is going to fall out of the sky, lol. I wish they wouldn't show all those plane crashes on the news. I told her we would be fine:)

My youngest is the complete opposite. She could care less about the whole trip. I really think once it gets closer she will get more excited. I don't think she comprehends the whole magnitude of WDW. Here mentality is if you have seen one theme park you have seen them all, lol.

Well that is about it. Things are rolling right along. I will be updating a lot more now because it is getting closer and I will doing a lot of preparing:)
