We had a wonderful time and tried restaurants that we hadn't tried before. We went on the Dining package, and I must say it was well worth it.
2 adults and 2 children ages 9 and 6/

I'll start with the table service and then later come back with counter service.

Dinner at Hollywood and Vine. Good meals, but could have used more choices in our opinion. Kids loved it. Ate here twice because the kids wanted to keep seeing Fantamic. $87.43

Dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse. Loved it here, although I hated the service. The server acted as if we couldn't pay for our meal and made us pay before she would serve us dessert!!!! Ticked me off royally. However the food was good. I had the mixed green salad, sirloin and veggies with the butterfinger cheesecake. DH had the filet mignon with the Lobster Bisque and the butterfinger cheesecake. Children had salads with hamburger and hot dogs. They were also served shakes and I was told as the drink, not dessert. They both had brownies and ice cream for dessert. $ 138.67

Dinner at the Garden Grill. I always love it here and this trip was no exception. We did this with the Candlelight Processional. However, I am tired of seeing Chip and Dale!!!!!! :earseek: Please bring in some more characters................ $ 93.68

Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The food was really good here, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We dined late and had the opportunity to see the prince give Cinderella a rose and ask her to dance. He invited all the little girls to stand around them. It was so sweet and thank goodness I have it all on video!!!! $116.57

Breakfast at the Crystal. Love it here. Pooh and friends, we had the best time and the most fun with the Characters. Many of my pictures are with more than one character here. They had wonderful interaction with us. The food was awesome and as my daughter would say, ummmm that french toast! $72.85

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It was great here as usually. Darn that Chip and Dale! :earboy2: It's o.k. though because we all got stuffed and had fun doing it. We go here every year and buy the pictures because we love it so much. $72.85

Dinner at Cape May Cafe. Cape May is wonderful and they had the best pizza!! Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be talking about the wonderful seafood right??? The seafood was great as well as the rest of the selections. So many things to choose from. They even brought my husband a special dessert because we are low carb, and he wanted something without the sugars. Was good and even ordered me one, but I was to full. Great service and I will go bback again and again. Second year eating there. $92.29

Breakfast at 'Ohana. This was our first time and even our first at the Poly. Needless to say, we are going to have to book a room there. We loved it that much  The food was served family style and it was very good. Not a huge selection, but they brought plenty. Mickey waffles and my son was on :cloud9: The characters came around and my daughter danced with Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey. It was great Watching them at the table getting their groove on. Wonderful Character breakfast and no Chip and Dale! J/K 72.85

So total spent on just the sit down meals: $834.62

Later I will post our counter service, although we kept that mainly to the resort................

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

Wow ! Sounds like you were not too disappointed by the food, thanks for posting.

As for us, we can't (my DD9) get enough of Chip n dale....We have ALOT of pictures of them with DD. At least she isn't interested in hard to meet characters, they were everywhere!

wow, you went to most of our regular haunts (garden grill, chef mickey's, crystal palace, h&v, 'ohana breakfast) and had similar experiences as we did... i agree w/the chip 'n dale sentiment... enough already! those pesky chipmunks are *everywhere!* LOL!

i was looking at your dates and the $ you spent and i would say just on TS meals it seems as though you got your money's worth (figuring the dining plan for 2A and 2C is about a hundred bucks a day, you were there for 9 days, so that's $900 and your TS meals came to $834... even before you eat all the counter meals and snacks, you've almost broken even! YAY YOU! :) )

Great reviews. My kids will be 9 and 6 our upcoming trip too.
Last time we did Mama Melrose (Fantasmic) but this next time we're trying H&V too. Also going to 1900 Park fare for 1st time, glad to see you liked it.

Looking forward to reading you CS reviews!

 Thanks for posting. I enjoyed reading your reviews. I have to agree with your comments on Chip and Dale ;) They are everywhere! What was the desert they served at Cape May?

Thanks,
Terri

:rockband:

I calculated that the total we paid for the dining plan was 675. Probably because our children are still small. So we really got our money's worth!!!!

Terri, I just read your question. It was a sugar free chocolate raspberry cake, with lots of drizzled chocolate. However, at the buffet, they had lots of other desserts to choose from!!!! Cookies, cakes, pies, but no ice cream.

Sheree, did you call ahead and pre-order your sugar free dessert, or did they have something already prepared? That cake sounds yummy!

Pat

349 days and counting . . . again!

no, we ordered it when we got there. My dh said, I sure wish you had a low carb/sugar free dessert. Our waiter said, we do and that he would order one. He told us it would take about ten minutes, and even before we were through with our meal, it was there.
