Doing both even possible?

I need some advice. We decided last min to do a Saturday trip the beginning of October. I’m trying to fit in both the firework show and Fantasmic. I have dinning alert on for a dinning package for Fantasmic but of course can’t guarantee I’ll get one. I really want to be in front of the castle for fireworks. We also have a 3 year old so decent view for Fantasmic is needed. How can I got about doing both?

Definitely! Reserve a Fantasmic dining package (request the second showing, which is at 10:30). Then stake out a spot in front of the castle 2-3 hours before fireworks. When fireworks are over, make your way to the reserved viewing area of Fantasmic to get your spot before the second show.

Edited to add: you can make a regular reservation for River Belle Terrace (usually readily available) and upgrade to the Fantasmic dining package before you order your food. Request the second show.

That’s my perfect plan but unfortunately dinning packages are all gone. I have alerts set up so hopefully I snag one. I’m just not sure it’s possible without one

or get a dining package for the first show and they'll let you stay in your seat and watch the fireworks from there

I thought about that too but it seems like there is so much going on in front of the castle for this particular show that would be missed.

Which Saturday are you taking about because Oct 8th has no Fantasmic showing as of now?
I wanted to make sure before you go too far down the rabbit hole.

It is the 8th. Doesn’t look like any night time entertainment has been released after the first weekend though. Even fireworks aren’t on the schedule yet. So hopefully they’re just behind.

You should be able to easily reserve River Belle Terrace. Just keep checking, especially closer to your date. It is always available. You can also walk up and request a same-day reservation (not guaranteed but worth a shot). It's a regular reservation (it doesn't say "Fantasmic dining package"). You ask to upgrade to the package once you're seated. You have to specifilclay request which time you want.

Only reservations I’m getting for that day are for carnation cafe. Also night time entertainment hasn’t been released after the first weekend so makes me wonder if reservations have even dropped yet. I’ve heard a few people have dinning package for the following weekend the 15th so I would assume they have but who knows with the way the reservation system is. I didn’t think about walk up. I guess worst case we can try that. We’re going again in November but no guarantee it’ll be during the week when we go.

Fantasmic *reservations have dropped for October 8th. I have had no difficulty getting one for 24-48 hrs before, just have to be persistent and check regularly once you’re 2 days out.

What is the best way to get from Fireworks to our Hungry Bear Fantasmic Dinner area? Will you be in time for grabbing a spot? I guess you will be a few rows back when you arrive after the fireworks, right?
Would you do this or reserve Hungry Bear for the 1st show and stay there to watch the fireworks from there?

With the caveat that I haven't done this since 2020:
What is the best way to get from Fireworks to our Hungry Bear Fantasmic Dinner area?
Watch the fireworks from the left side of the hub and leave the instant the fireworks stop (CM's will be directing traffic so you don't have to go against the flow of people leaving Fantasmic)
Will you be in time for grabbing a spot?
Yes! Everyone else will be doing the same thing :P

I've been the first person in line, although I do walk fast lol

I really like this method because you don't have to get in line early for Fantasmic, which infuriates me after already paying for a dining package. Of course you do have to stake out a spot in front of the castle for the fireworks, but I think the view is better than at RoA :)
