I "was" planning on going up to the lake, but the weather forecast is predicting rain (either thunderstorms or continuous showers) for Friday, Saturday, and Monday - so - if it doesn't change, I may stay home instead..

Last weekend was wicked - the worst of which was Sunday night.. Well - actually the wee hours of Monday morning.. It was thundering and lightning SO bad it was just one continuous rumbling and flash of light - with NO pause in between for HOURS.. Could literally feel the whole place shaking.. And the rain came down SO hard it was almost impossible to be able to recognize it as "rain" - just sounded like constant pounding on the roof.. I'm not really afraid of the storms - at least not until they start putting up tornado watches - because there's no place where I would be sheltered (no basement and no "interior" rooms - every single room is connected to an outside wall) - not to mention there are HUGE trees all around our place that could come tumbling down like dominoes.. I get a little "edgy" then, but I can usually tough it out.. I'm just not sure I want to go through that again basically in the same week..

Is the weather in your area supposed to be good? And if so, whatcha got planned??

My husband's got a 4 day this weekend, but I have to work. :( / I work 3-11, so I am going to try to enjoy what I can of it.
I'm going to Chuck e Cheese on Friday, though, so I guess I am doing something!:p

bought a brisket on sale today,, will butcher it down to more manageable pieces tommorrow, may try and cook it and have frienbds over,, otherwise i will be watching dw and dd remodel dd'd bedroom,, shes grown out of tweety yellow and is wanting a morte grown up room,, sooo i am designing this one,, its a jungle themed room with purple accents and butterflies, tigers and amnimal prints, goingto be a challange, i'll have to post pics if its success full ..lol

I'll be missing Towncrier's Memorial Day weekend DIS festivities :(. But I will also be going to my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary luau. It will be nice to see some of my Mom's family that I haven't seen in a while.

who knows what our weather will be like...it's been so wacky lately!

our plans for the weekend...since we live in the indianapolis area, we've learned that on race day, you go nowhere. you stay safely secured in your own home...otherwise you face the wrath of the indy 500 traffic! and we must be the ONLY people in indy who have zero desire to go to the race...

the rest of my family is very much into the race. my sister and her DH will be arriving here on friday night...then my brother, mom, and dad, and my sister's MIL will all be coming to stay at our house on saturday. all those people in my house...:faint: my mom's birthday is also this weekend...so we'll have a "party" for her with all of us since we are rarely together now that my sister's living in missouri...

hope the weather holds out for everyone!!!

It's a birthday weekend here so we'll do a small party at some point.

We might barbeque if the weather warms up a bit...right now we've got a bit of frost. Ugh.

Oh and it's gonna be a Shrek2/pizza theater weekend too!

Plan to go to the WWII Memorial. Dad is driving Grandfather in the parade they are having. Don't know exactly when/where/how long I'll be down there yet as I will have the two kids all by myself. DH is working, doing escorts of the veterans from Arlington to DC (he's Arlington P.D.).

We will do the cookout thing w/ the in-laws on Monday.

Gettring ready to go to Disney! We leave the day after Memorial Day. I'm working on Memorial Day, but I don't mind 'cause I get paid overtime for the whole day. :)

We are going to the DIS meet at Towncrier's house! WOO HOO! We can't wait! :wave2:

Taking pictures on Friday night....My DD has her senior prom! from 7pm-11pm..I'll probably sleep late on Saturday morning, as parents do not pick up the kids till 5AM from the "Celebration-After Prom party" (11pm-5am).
Then I'm working on Sat.and Sun. nights. (busy weekend here on Cape Cod!)
And....DD is in her last Memorial Day parade with her high school marching band (color guard) on Monday....if it doesn't rain! Then over to the cemetary to put some flowers on GPa&GMa's graves.
And a little visit to daddy's grave also. :(

(Next weekend is graduation..Please... no rain then either!):sunny:

I plan on spending the day at EPCOT!
We fly out at 6:40 am on Monday and arrive around 10:15 in Orlando.

I think we are going to see the Mickey statues here in Portland on Sunday, and then have a family dinner on Sunday night (my parents are coming up to their house up here, my Aunt and Uncle are coming to visit them, and my mother in law decided to fly up last minute! Whew!). Not sure about Monday yet...probably another family thing.

DIS meet at Towncrier's on Sunday, and a picnic at a friend's house on Monday. :jumping1:

DH will have to work, and the kids and I will just hang out. DH had to work last year too and the kids and I went to the 500. I don't think work has any tickets this year so it looks like home for us....

Hoping the rain is finished after today - havent looked too closely at the forecasts lately though
Either Sat or Mon the 3 of us are taking a day trip to Battleship Cove
Planning on taking DS to Southwicks Zoo and Davis Farm the other 2 days

This what we are planning ALMOST...we are still going to the lake weather it rains or not.....OH FUN....2 yrs in a row of 8 kids in the house for the weekend.......

Our Friends keep inviting us and every time it rains....I think next time I might say NO Thanks ..:sunny: :sunny:
