Doin it in Style @ The Poly! September 2010 Here we Come!!!

Lol I know, think we need to reconsider renting a 1bed and rent a 2bed instead to fit it all in

I doubt we will ride ITTBAB as I hated it, so will not be taken that route to check out the tree.

The Pooh Bear tee is really cute, I got one from both trips, one yellow and one pink. Hoping they have a light green one this year, but we shall see :)

Woody does look a little out of it doesn't he :rotfl:

I didn't like ITTBAB too. A bit too over the top for the little ones it attracts IMO. I'll have to find another route cause I want to definately explore more around the Tree of Life too. :thumbsup2

Hey All

How are we? Weekends going good so far?

I have lots to update with, but don't know where to start.

Guess we can start with a weekend update and what we got up to yesterday :)

Now we were supposed to go to one of the UK theme parks over here, but it was forecast to rain all day :( Boo! So I got the idea to go shopping, lunch and catch a movie at our local Westfield. Only problem was I couldn't decide what to go and see as Dave was all "I'll go see whatever you want to see" Helpful right

So after combing through the listings again, we decided to go and see

TheSorcerersApprentice.jpg

So of we went, I thought it would be better to get there for opening and it was as it was nice and empty :) We had a really good day yesterday browsing the shops and such. Lunch was really good, had chinese which is always yum :teeth:

Now we weren't really going to go to the Disney Store, but you just can't help it really as you feel an obligation as a Disney Fan and Diser to go in. So in we went and surprise surprise we came out with bagful of goodies

I saw these online and wanted them instantly thinking they were small, but they are actually A4 size. Saw them in the store and they were on sale, so snapped them up sharpish :teeth:

Dave didn't want me to get this, but he shouldn't have showed me really now should he!

024-5.jpg

How cute is he and when you push his tail he "raars" you. Can upload a vid if you guys want to see :)

I love this, was hoping to get the old design as I want to get quite a few to use for storage, but this one is rather cute and I might get a couple more.
011-5.jpg

I bought this for Dave, a) because he wanted and b) to keep him sweet because of the next few purchases.

Sophia you will love these, esp this first pic :teeth:

He is AWESOME. So cuddly and soft!

I saw these and thought we just had to get them to complete the set. Am hoping they will bring out Cogsworth too.

God knows where we are going to put these!!!

So after exiting the store quickly, before we could spot anything else, we headed on our for some more browsing. Another plus as to why yesterday was a good day was because Dave has actually found a wedding band that he actually likes and will wear.

We spent quite a bit of time in this store as I originally wanted to go and check out a necklace that we are going to buy for a friends 30th birthday from everyone at the office. As I was chatting away to the assistance I noticed Dave starely intently at one of the display cases. He was checking out some rings and wanted to try them on too  Normally he is never like this, just stands to the side until the horrible shopping ordeal is over. So suffice to say I was very happy as I knew that he would be difficult to shop for when it came to getting his band (I already found my band the day we found my engagement ring).

He tried on quite a few and we have the codes for three different designs to go back and check out again later on this year.

After that we hit a few more shops and I got some more bits and bobs. Saw these cuties in Uniqlo
022-2.jpg

They are really soft and light and will be perfect for Italy, just need to find a nice white cardigan for the evenings to go with them now.

Dave also spied one cool t shirt, which I couldn't get because they didn't have my size, but I did spy this next to it.
020-5.jpg

021-5.jpg

The one Dave spied was a Belle design, so gutted they didn't have my size but I am gonna see if they have them online.

After Uniqlo we went to WHSmiths to get a newspaper and some magazines as we had a bit of time to kill before the movie and we wanted to sit down. I also snapped some pics as well as I never really use the camera on my phone.

Then it was time for the film. It is really good and I love Nic Cage, he suited this role really well and had some great lines. I don't know why it has been getting a bad rep as we thought it was really good. I do agree with Dave in some parts that some of the magic could have been better, but then I chalk it down to our imaginations, in that we can imagine things more fantastically but when it comes down to it becoming "real" it can be difficult as you can only do so much (hope that made sense).

So that was our weekend, today we are just chilling. Am going to make fajitas soon as I am starving.

Will update with other Disney news soon

Catch ya later

It is a bit much, esp at the end. When that "stings" you it actually hurts and it made me jump up too as I have a small sciatic problem in that sometimes if I sit, move, bend a certain way my back goes and it is not pleasant :(

Ooh, sounds like a fun day with some great purchases!! That's really good that Dave was spying a ring!! My advice...get it soon! One less thing to worry about once the wedding is closer!

Thanx :)

I think we will most prob go and get towards the end of the year. If Italy is successful then most of the money we have at the moment will go towards that.

Oooh forgot to tell you guys too, have booked an appointment to go wedding dress shopping for the first weekend after we get back from Italy. So excited :teeth:

Evening All

So one of the updates that I meant to tell you about last week was that we booked another night to do...

   Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Me and Dave were talking and agreed that it would be worth doing a second party, that way we don't have to jam pack everything in and can go at a slightly more relaxed pace.

We worked out which day and oddly enough it was the day before the first MNSSHP we booked previously, so now we are going twice in a row.

We are thinking that since we are doing two we really do need to get some costumes and this is what we were thinking:-

Can you guess who they are?

For the other party Dave already has an idea of what he wants to do, I'll let him tell you. Me, I have some bits and pieces that I have bought, just need to work out an outfit. Will post pics later on next week and maybe you guys could help me out? :)

You got a bunch of cool Disney stuff!! The plushes are so cute- I can't believe they didn't have Cogsworth, though.

Congrats on the second MNSSHP! Should be a lot of fun!

Lucky you! Two MNSSHP parties! I'm a bit jealous:)

Thank you ladies :goodvibes

This is originally what we wanted to do in the first place but was worried we wouldn't be able to fit it in, so we left it and then last week Dave was talking about possibly doing it again and suggested some dates and I thought "what the hell, let's do it"

What do you think of the costumes? I think they will be lighter than most of the ones we have looked at and I am debating on whether to get these to go with mine in case the boot thingies don't go so well...

Slippers.jpg

They'll go colour wise with the outfit right?

I am hoping to post Day 3 plans at some point, possibly tonight depending on how wrecked I feel from the gym, also we need to get a move on with watching our Disney Movies so we might watch the next one on the list tonight, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl pirate:

My other outfit for the halloween party is not a full on costume but something i can wear with shorts and feel comfortable. I was thinking of wearing this ensemble.

Marvel-Wolverine-Costume-Shirt.jpg

Then I thought why not wear a full mask and as it doesn't obstruct my view, Disney should allow me to wear it. If not then I have the half mask that comes with the tee.

19127.jpg

If I could get away with wearing claws I would but I very much doubt they would allow me in with plastic claws as they are spray painted to look metal. I reckon plastic swords would work though.

The costumes look great! You definitely want to go with something that isn't too heavy. I'm sure it will still be pretty hot even during the evenings. You guys are going to have lots of luggage:laughing:

Are those costumes of the characters from Prince of Persia? You guys are going to be sooo cute!

Dave, I also like the Wolverine idea but then who would Stefy be? Rogue?

You would think, but Dave goes over with an empty suitcase as he cleans up pretty good when we go shopping, me on the other hand could do with a good few suitcases or 20

Yes, they are cool aren't they and I liked Gemma Aterton in the role too :teeth:

Rogue is my fav X-men! You might be right though as my second choice costume is quite fairyish and you can imagine what we would both look like  Maybe I should look at some superhero ones then :scratchin

That's because you're always doing Disney shopping even over in the UK:rotfl:

I think those shoes would be great with the costume. I could see how the boots may be a bit much to be walking around in.

Wolverine and Rogue would be fantastic!

They are also pull over boots too, so might be a bit weird feeling, dunno :confused3 I think I will get the slippers, just gotta work out what size now as the seller says that the sizes differ from what you originally wear

Wolverine and Jean Grey/Phoenix would be even better, but not sure about a Phoenix costume.

If I find any good superhero ones, will post for you guys opinion :goodvibes

Yeah those are Prince Of Persia costumes :) I am going to get a replica sands of time dagger to pose with :) I don't know what to do about the boots, don't really want to buy leather boots as that's expense for one time use. I can wear the wolverine thing whenever I want, not wearing yellow spandex lol. Any idea on the boot front?

Yes she cannot be stopped when it comes to the Disney Store.

Guess I had better get on with our Day by Day plans.

Next up is...

Day 3 - Saturday 2nd October

Today is shopping day :teeth: We will most prob grab a quick bite to eat at

CalvinKlein.jpg

Scuse the Tommy and Ralph pics, couldn't find store pics for Prime.

Then we'll hop back in a cab and head to the resort and depending what time we get back most prob hit a park before our ADR at

CRT.jpg

We originally had a ressie for 5:10pm and I checked back and managed to snag an 8:30pm ressie which I previously wanted. Don't know why but for some reason I wanted to be in the Castle when the fireworks are going off. Has anyone dined at CRT when the Wishes is showing?

Its an EMH that night and the park closes at 11pm, so after dinner we get 1hr30mins extra to play in the dark. I am loving the late night closures for MK, esp when we are just over the water :teeth:

Thats it for Day 3, stay tuned for Day 4 :)
