Stephy I can't believe your venue did that!! so completely unprofessional to copy in registar etc on the email too!! I know you must be so upset about it now, but I'm sure there is a far better venue out there where you two can have the perfect wedding

Yes I did indeed watch the football match last night! We went to Steve's parents for a bbq and to watch England v USA.... I accidentally hummed along to the USA national anthem and got frowned at !
Enjoyed the game... something that annoys me though is how the media/tv commentators are like 'oh England can definitely win it this time' .. before the World Cup begins.. and then everyone gets sooo upset when we don't win matches?! DF and his Dad were shouting and swearing at the tv so much last night! men & sports eh

We are slowly but getting there and have a couple of venues in mind. I have a friend that is helping me out and coincidentally is starting up an Events Business, so I know we are in good hands.

I was so furious with the owner of the Manor I could not believe she had done that. Feel like going back and saying "thanx for thinking so little of me thinking I would trash you, from your actions I feel I would be justified in doing so now"

The match was ok, a disappointing result and what was that at the beginning? An ad break and they scored during it!!! Wonder if whoever pushed the button has been fired.

Dave's not so bad when it comes to shouting along, but I know what you mean

Thanks Kathy Hopefully we will get some replies back from a couple of places we have emailed. Our friend is going to try and see if he can save us some money here and there (fingers crossed).

I'm glad that is sounds as though you are moving on, and I am sure you and Dave will have a gorgeous wedding! I hope this is the last of your planning stress, you don't deserve it!

I've dealt with lots of people/ situations like that at work and I know how frustrating and upsetting that can be. I can't believe she'd have treated you so poorly even before you canceled when YOU were going to be the one paying HER! I think more businesses need to take a page out of Disney's book on guest relations.

Thats all behind us now and I think my anger towards her has subsided. I have thrown myself in finding a venue so that has taken my mind off of it.

Sorry for our absence, or rather mine. Have been busy busy looking for wedding venues and we are booked in to see two in the coming week. Cannot wait to check them out as they are beautiful locations and buildings. Am hoping that after we've seen them we will be able to book one (depending on what kind of deal they can offer us). Then I can get back to proper planning.

Have found an awesome photographer who does the most amazing pictures. They are very creative and artistic and although pricey well worth the money. Now just gotta convince Dave that they are the right way to go for our photos

Not much to update Disney wise, apart from we are no longer going to US and IoA, so that allocated day will be F&WF Day. We're going to dedicate the whole day to food and wine and just chillax in the WS.

I will get back into planning very soon as I need to start researching F&W and also the Halloween party, as well as posting day by day plans and those pesky Must Do's that I keep going on about

Hi Stefy.... I've been behind on everyone's reports but just saw your post on your wedding venue. Kudos to you for speaking up about those extra charges. Like others have said, that was just completely unacceptable behavior and I cannot believe that is how they run a business.

I'll tell you what this WDW trip cannot come sooner for us, its the perfect remedy for all these problems we've been having.

Thanks for all the pixie dust I was actually able to get the time off work to go with Stefy to see these places which is good as a colleague is away that week. I also got a call from the hosital to start my phototherapy 2-3 weeks earlier than expected. So thankfully I will be finished with it in the next 6-8 weeks and with plenty of time before holiday to actually complete the course Though Stefy will be jealous at the end when I'm tanned hehe

your post about the lady copying and pasting the other people into the email totally shocked me, I was thinking about it a few times since I read it, just appalling customer service and know this sounds melodramatic but completely lacking in professionalism and integrity!

me and DBF went to a wedding fair in a lovely resort near us just to see what the general prices were etc and I ended up knowing their recommended photographer (was friends with his son and daughter in Primary school) and he came over to chat and introduced us to a manager etc...which was very nice of him but pretty embarassing...us sitting talking seriously to the manager and not even engaged! kept that on the down low!

hopefully one of the potential venues will really appeal to you and Dave and maybe even surpass the original venue esp if the person you are dealing with isn't a
