So we last left off with Seaworld. I think the next day we went to AK and took it at a more relaxed pace and did some of the trails.
We have a little in joke with this pic. When we first started on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, the first animal/reptile we came across was the Komodo Dragon. As soon as we entered the area a "guide" yelled out "The Komodo Dragon..." can't remember the rest but he went into a long winded factoid speech about the species. As we were leaving the area, another group entered and you could have sworn you were listening to a recording because he launched into another "The Komodo Dragon..." The in joke is that after hearing him do it a third time we thought that he must stand there all day saying the same thing over and over, like he is stuck in a time loop
The next highlight of the trek was me sort of running around after this bird who was sooooo elusive all I could get picture wise was his tail. DF thought I was mad running after him, but darn it I wanted that picture
The camera then proceeded to die after that, so we just strolled around leisurely. I think that night we were going to our very first MNSSHP, but first a quick stop for dinner at Beaches and Cream.
I am in love with the Cherry Coke over there, sooo much better than ours here in the UK.
Our server at first seemed a bit offish, but I think it was because the place was so packed. But she did not fail to notice DF bday pin. After we had finished our main and she had cleared the plates aways the lights on the ceiling started flashing and DF was like whats going on. He has his back towards the kitchen and couldn't see her coming back with an ice cream brownie. She proceeded to get everyones attention and had them sing Happy Birthday to him. Was really sweet and lovely for him. You can tell he is still sorta surprised in this pic, bless
So, off we went to the party. We were really excited and didn't know what to expect.
We didn't do as much as we wanted to do and being newbies to WDW hadn't really thought out the night v well. But we are prepared this year, are even thinking of doing the parks twice, once for the rides and shows and once for the special stuff.
Oh my gosh, I just realized you had another update!
I love the expression on your DF's face with his birthday treat! And the photos of your MNSSHP brought back fun memories too!
This is so much fun to read!

Yes, got one last one to do of this first trip. Then am going to get on to some planning questions. Need your guys opinion on dining and if we are spreading ourselves to thin with the restaurants.
I loved his expression too, as when the lights went on and I think there was some sort of bell ringing, or something, he was like "whats going on". Bless him
MNSSHP was a blast and I am glad I could bring back some happy memories for you
We do like AK, its really beautiful with its lush plants and scenery. Not to mention Expedition Everest, such a cool ride. Am determined this year to keep my eyes open when we are inside the mountain

Well we have lots of pics, but I couldn't post them all. Posted most of the good ones, not to mention I am quite surprised I remembered as much as I had to begin with
Stefy, you have to dress up! It triples the fun - take it from me! We were just wearing hats the first MNSSHP and it was fun, but we had the best time when we went all the way for the second party! The response from guests and CMs was so much fun!
So this is the last recap of your 2007 trip. Then its on to some serious planning etc. So here goes.
The pictures show that we spent the next day in Hollywood Studios, can't really remember much so will just post pics.
This would have been an awesome photo, but the line was either closing or too long.
We ate at Sci Fi which was pretty cool. Food was alright, our server was really great though, came out with a birthday card for DF and a sundae with a candle in.
So we are up to our v last half day. We tend not to do any parks and just hit DTD until it is time to go back to the resort for the ME. On this morning we woke early to pack. It was dark and raining and poor DF had to go and get breakfast, you can tell he is not too happy about that.
Man that is one messy room, anyone would have thought we were raided
and that my friends is it for the first trip. Thank you for reading along
