Today we are heading to Magic Kingdom to finish up what we want to do here. We rode Small World (which is really pretty since they redid it) and Larry wanted to ride the Pooh ride, so we all rode together. Then we took in the first showing of Cinderellabration, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I love the Cinderella story, and this is a continuation of that, so I was a little teary-eyed by the sentiment expressed in it. Once the show was over, we headed to the Plaza for an early lunch. This was very good, and the chef made an awesome no sugar added cheesecake (and he made three portions, one for each of us). Larry and Tara were too full to eat more than a couple of bites of theirs, so I asked for a to go box and took it back to the room with me to enjoy later. We shopped a bit on Main Street, and then Larry got his hair cut at the barber shop (which he always does when we are here). Tara also had pixie dust and colors put in her hair - they were both quite a sight when we left MK!
After an afternoon nap, we headed out for the Flying Fish restaurant at the Boardwalk for dinner. The food here was exceptionally good, but the best part was the entertainment we had from the servers! Our server's name was Joe, and he was not only a great server, but very personable. We chatted for a few moments and he took note of the fact that we visit WDW frequently, asking what we most enjoyed there. He took great care of us throughout our meal, even when Bob entered the picture. Bob was the server for the group of tables next to ours, and about two-thirds of the way through our dinner, he came up and asked if he could borrow the extra chair that was at our table. Larry decided to say no and see what he would do. So he just shrugged his shoulders and started to walk away. Larry called him back, saying he was only kidding, and to please take the chair. Little did we know what he had started! Apparently Bob loves to kid around with guests, and when he realized we were in a playful mood, he started to pick on us - and we gave it back in spades. He began to make fun (in a funny way, not a mean way) about our thick Southern accents, and Tara threatened to whack him with Bill (remember Bill? told you that would be important later in the report). Bob told her not to talk to him like he was waiting on us! When he came back, he told us (with a completely straight face) that he had no idea who Bill was and that his name was Bob - and then repeated his name slowly to make sure we got it. By this time, we were all giggling like maniacs and Tara informed him that Bill was her duck. Joe comes back about this point and tells Bob to leave us alone, at which point Bob tells Joe that Tara has a speech impediment ("She says she has a duuuucckkk named Be-alll - I have to go home and look up what a duuuccckk is"). Joe then goes on to inform Bob that he was just about to tell us to make sure we come back during our next WDW visit for another dinner with them. Bob then proceeds to "translate" for us - "What he means is, if'n you'uns get a hankerin' for some vittles next time ya'll are here, mosey on over and we'uns will take care of you." Oh, by this point we were all rolling on the floor (figuratively, of course). Larry proceeds to tell Bob that we will be back in July, and Bob says to make sure it is the last week of July because he will be on vacation then. I told him he had to stop making me laugh so hard, as he was giving me a headache (from laughing). He said it was not the first time a woman had told him she had a headache and he was sure it wouldn't be the last! He was absolutely hysterically funny and we thoroughly enjoyed his clowning. We assured Joe we would be back in July and we will ask for him (and/or Bob) and Joe asked for hugs from Tara and I and a handshake from Larry before we left. As we started out, Tara turned to Bob and said, "'Bye, Bill!" and he had a huge grin on his face when we left. And yes, we have already made a PS for dinner at Flying Fish in July. For any of you who might have been at Flying Fish on Saturday, May 14 around 6:00 p.m. and wondered who the three crazy people were who could not stop laughing through dinner, I humbly apologize for the disturbance - that was us!
After dinner, we went back to the Boardwalk gift shop because I wanted to buy a CD of park music that I had seen there earlier in the week. Purchase in hand, we headed back to SSR where we shopped (yet again) at the gift shop there. I think it is time for us to go home - we are spending WAY too much money!
