Hello! Me and my husband are going to be on Disney Wonder last week of May going to Alaska. First time Disney cruiser here and I have a few questions.
1. I really want to do the dog sledding and the first place is at Skaway. Is it better to pick the morning vs the afternoon time? I also noticed that its only 2 to 2 1/2 hours in Skaway vs in Juneau its 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Is there any difference I should know about in Skaway vs Juneau?

2. In Skaway would I be able to to do the dog sledding and the glassblowing? I really don’t want to miss the dog sledding and I herd it can be canceled because of weather. Also I’m guessing they can move the times around because of the weather. If I do get to do the dog sledding would I be able to sign up after the dog sledding to do the glassblowing? That is if there is room for glassblowing.

I was on that May cruise last year. We had ours canceled in Skagway because of the fog. It cleared up enough by the afternoon that we were able to do a landing on a lower glacier for walk on a glacier. If you really want to do it I would pick the Norris glacier in Juneau, as it is lower than Mendenhall and thus less likely to get cancelled due to cloud cover. If you pick Skagway I think your odds of it being clear are better in the afternoon than the morning. The following week's cruise had perfect skies on Skagway day so you may get lucky. Do glassblowing in the morning, it's right near the port so you should have time to do both easily.
