Have any of you ever met others while you are camping that have a pet, and were happy to do some kind of exchange. Watch your pet while you spend day at park, next day you watch their pet while they spend day at park, etc.

We will be at the Fort for 10 days this September. Last time we were there Kennels were right on Disney property. Just wondering if I could attempt to work something out with fellow campers.

I have not heard/seen anyone do this,,but what a awesome idea !!

You just may be onto start'n up some thing new to help each other out at the Fort , :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I recall about a year ago there was a rumor that Disney was considring converting Trinidad South to a Pet Friendly section. I sure wish that was true. We stayed at the Hard Rock and they allow pets in the room, just not unattended. having been to the parks many times oer the years, I often skip going with the family and hang around the resort. Allowing the dogs would be great!

I agree with these guys that it's a great idea.

It's hard to line up a visit at the same time as others.

Also, it's more difficult now that the kennels/pet facility is offsite (although near the fort).

But we campers should be able to match up an exchange service if anyone can.

i don't have a problem taking other folks dogs out for a walk during the day while they are gone. i have done it before for friends i have met on here. they have also let mine out. if you hook up with someone that you feel you can trust to let the pup(s) out just ask them. i would do it for you but, i'm not going in september, sorry.

but, i think it is something that could be done.

Thanks for all the positive replies. I think now I will be able to approach fellow campers while we are there and ask if they would be interested in exchanging pet care.

I personally love this idea. i would do it in a heartbeat if I were going to be there.

Last time we were at FW our neighbor's dog howled like crazy during the day. So whenever they came back from the parks we went over and asked if they wanted to drop puppy off at our camper the next day because we were taking a two day break from the parks and just hanging around the camper and plus my poodle loves her some company, but the pup wouldn't have anything to do with other dogs or people for that matter, to bad it would have been nice.

Another idea also could be to split the day in half, one family go to parks in the morning hours and the other in the evening hours so basically the dogs are never alone.
