Zippy! the Boston Terror! eh..emm..Boston Terrier!
I like dressing Zippy in hats--we have the Birthday Cake hat & the Mouse Ears, amoungst others.

The guys--DH, DS17 & DFIL-- find this disturbing

I am looking for an adult mixed breed dog to adopt.

Our 15 year old mixed (German shepard-Dobie) went over the
Rainbow Bridge Mother's Day of 2005.

Zippy needs a friend, & we need a fur baby taller than Zippy!

I'm totally getting Zippy. We had his big brother, Boston Pops. He had tons of energy. He was a sweetheart, but he never was reliably house-broken. We loved Pops and I could see us having another Boston.

Now we have Minky-Boodle, our 75lb Standard Poodle mix. We don't know what he's mixed with. He looks just like a real standard, except he's taller than average and his fur isn't kinky, it's loose curls. He's a 6yo counter surfing, garbage diving, wheezing/coughing ball of fire. He can hold his pee for 49 days if he has to .

We have 2 dogs (was three, but our beloved greyhound Kimya crossed the raibow bridge on August 17).

There is:

Janky: a 9 year old retired and rescued racing greyhound (she raced under the name BUNGALOW????). She is a beautiful, petite brindle girl. She's also the QUEEN of the household and the apple of DH's eye. I always say that DH will be said if I die, but he will be distraught and likely require hospitilazation when Janky dies. She KNOWS she is the Queen of the household, and has us wrapped around her paw.

Milhouse: Our behemoth, mutant dog. He is a 100+lb solid black chow/lab mix. He has black spots on his tongue and a curled tail and I swear he has the head of a BLACK BEAR!. He is ferocious looking...but the only way he would ever hurt anyone or even defend us from intruders would be if the intruder tripped over him while stealing our television! He's a big goofy lump of adorableness. He usually sleeps on the bed between DH and I (eventually pushing me to the very edge of the mattress)...and we wouldn't have it any other way.

A note about greyhounds (and I'm sure the other grey owners will back me up). They are phenomenal dogs, especially if you are short on space or don't have a yard. They are awesome for apartment dwellers. VERY little shedding, almost no barking (Janky only barks if we ply her with a treat first, and our decesaed barked alot but she had a massive brain tumor). 10's of thousands of greys are put to death each year because of the stupid racing industry. So if you are looking for a new dog, consider a greyhound!

For many years I had two teacup Yorkies, a Lhasa Apso, and a rescued Lhasa/poodle mix. When they eventually all died of old age, I wasn't ready for a new dog and got a cat.

A year ago I was ready for a new dog, and really wanted another Yorkie, but could not find any rescues that would allow me to adopt one with a child. I did however adopt the cutest, sweetest little Jack Russell Terrier mix (not sure what the mix is, but it looks like probably dachshund), and he is truly the greatest dog I have ever had.

The baby of our family is Chaser, a 100 pound golden retriever who thinks he is a lap dog. You can see him below in his mouse ears. He is probably the dumbest dog you will ever meet but he is the most lovable dog in the world.

Your dogs are beautiful as well. I love Basenji's but I would have to think real hard before getting another one. She's a good dog really, she just has just flea allergies and doesn't look so great in the summer.......
