Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and am pleased to be able to chat with you. I am planning a family vacation for 3 families for the beginning months of 2009 sometime. I want to be able to camp for several weeks before even beginning with the others. I also plan to go with everyone on a Disney Cruise as well as the general Disney World experience. My dilema at this point is what to do with the family dogs while we are on the cruise. Does anyone know of good quality kennels I can get ahold of for this purpose? Also, is there somewhere I will be able to park my RV for the days we are on the cruise and then come back to another campsite? Any comments and/or suggestions will be welcome. We have been camping at DW 3 other times but haven't been there for about 4 years and didn't do a cruise along with it. Thanks all...:mickeyjum paw:

I can't help with the long-term kennel question. Maybe somebody who lives in the area can help with this one.

When you leave for the cruise, FW will allow you to keep your RV parked in the parking lot. They will give you a pass to put in the front window while you're gone.

Welcome to the DIS Camping Board!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info, I'll file it away in the MH and hope I never need it. Got to take care of the babies.:thumbsup2

I used them when I long-term stayed at the Fort (I'm very particular about Vets, BTW). I was impressed - to the point that I'm considering making the 75 mile round trip to take my "fur-babies" there on a permanent basis! In the 3 years I've lived in my current location (Polk County, west of the Fort), I've gone to several vet clinics, and have yet to find the "one" that was as good as my previous vet in Sarasota, Fl.

I believe that is the kennel WDW uses as their back up in case they are by chance filled or need to have more room for dogs in the event of a hurricane. A couple of years ago when Wilma was approaching the kennel staff told me there is a nearby vet who has a kennel and handles their overflow.

Howdy, FtWildernessGuy!!! Yep - - - you are correctomundo!! That is how I found them when we stayed the winter of 2002/2003 & had a problem with one of my kitties. It's a really good animal hospital!!
