Dog Help!!!

My dogs found, and killed, a possum. They stink, my yard stinks, and im assuming my garbage can will stink because thats where it is now. What can I do to get the odor out, and should I call the vet?

how long ago? I mean it would have to be hours or a day before it started stinking, like spoiled food.

bag the deceased, and bag it again. then wash the dogs and pray for rain for the yard.

It was out there for approx 30 mins..........But I read they "excrete" a smell.......NICE

I saw your comment in another thread and I have the same problem. I double bagged the one I found today, even the dogs wouldn't go anywhere near it. Nasty, icky thing! Of course yesterday was trash day, so I get the joy of having it in our garbage can all week. The smell was quite horrible too, and usually I don't get nauseous.
