Doesn't anyone know why MM+/FP+ is here?!

Again, wasn't implying that they close every Friday at 6pm. Just that on Fridays, they HAVE closed at 6pm. And yes, Magic Kingdom does this...for hard ticket parties that everyone knows about. I've heard UO does this for corporate events and conferences. But still, Easter week? On the weekend?

Look, I think everyone would agree. I'd love to have 10 million annual visitors to MK rather than 18 million. Universal fans are lucky that it is relatively and WDW is just too big and too many people go there.
Hence FP+. But that was the point of my thread, after all....

:lmao::thumbsup2

Once she said US closes at 6pm every Friday, I was done reading. Not true, btw.

It actually looks like they close almost every Friday at 6pm through April-May for "Grad Bash" - a private party for nearby participating schools.

I wasn't referring to hard ticket events. I was referring to private events that both MK and DHS have throughout the year where the parks close at 6pm to the public.

Agreed. I originally was just parroting what I had heard about IOA and UO regularly closing earlier than, let's say, 9pm or 10pm. Josh from EasyWDW has tweeted this at least a few separate times and I have heard similar things from people on these boards.

Yes, because they are a corporation, which, by definition, exists to make a profit for shareholders.

But as a PP stated, in order to maximize profits, they need to have a well-run park that people want to go to.

I remember back in the day when I would go to Cedar Point (big-coaster park in NE Ohio.) I would see the two hour lines for the big thrill rides, of which I wanted no part anyway, and would think, "Thank god I don't like those rides because that would suck to stand in those lines!

I've been to Cedar Point twice in my life and I live 3 hours away. My impression was god-awful lines and rides that don't appeal to me. I'll probably never go back.
Now you can pay for a front-of-the-line pass, which is $80. ON TOP OF ADMISSION, which is $50. Wow.

But back to the point, I'd cut back on my trips to WDW if and when Epcot WS is so crowded that I have to wait longer than 5 minutes for my Carlsberg at Norway.

Just happened to me last week. Get to the front of the kiosk and they need to change the keg, then the young man working couldn't get it hooked up so they needed to get a manager. Ended up getting a Bud Light - took one sip and handed it to my husband and got back into line. That's what we need a FP+ for!

No one pays 50 bucks for a ticket to Cedar Point, and if you do, you're crazy. There are any number of discounts available. I bought the fast lane pass last year during our two day visit, and let me tell you , it was worth every penny! Over and over and over on some of the best coasters in the world. For a two day visit, which was probably once in a lifetime, it was well worth the money. Cedar Point was clean, well maintained, and the most amazing (regular)Amusement park there is. Just wanted to clear that up....
That being said, immediately after Cedar point we flew to WDW for three days...much better as a theme park.
You cant compare the two. They are two different experiences entirely.
We didnt even ride RnR because we had just been on eh best roller coasters in America.... But we went to Hoop De Doo the first night, and ate better and laughed harder than we had the previous three days. We sat in Philharmagic over and over, and felt the magic envelop us, like it does every year when we go. Im 14 days away from my last Daddy Daughter Trip (12th)
with my DD18 before shes off to college.. I wouldnt trade Disney for anything. They can charge whatever they want, and Ill always want to go back.
