Does your SO make/change DVC reservations?

DH and I are in on the planning together...I make the call to MS and book the ADRs...He fills me in on what he wants to do and then I e-mail him a copy of the official spreadsheet for his approval. He doesn't really like the fact that we make ADRs...until he is hungry and we don't have to wait long.

Our next trip is this Dec. I have the official spreadsheet 90% complete but haven't emailed it to him yet. Of course his office is at the end of the house but that's the way he wants to final info.

His Brother we have to call and make sure he is at the right airport on the right day.

Currently I control the DVC account and do all the booking/etc.

He does tell me that I need to write him a DVC for Dummies book so he can plan and book a trip for me one day to which I just roll my eyes. In all honesty I just say "we are going on these days" and he says OK and books times off of work but in compensation his CC is always on the room so he pays for souvenirs .

He wouldn't have a clue and wouldn't know where to start. I book it and tell him when we are going. Told him yesterday I was booking for his birthday next May.

We've been members since 2001...dh and I plan the dates of the trips and which resort we'd like to book but he has never called MS....I do all the reservations..DVC...dining..etc...

I voted that both of us manage reservations. In reality, I do all the planning and will make all the reservations. However, last year I put DBF in charge of calling for all of our dining ADR's but he had a list of all the restaurants and what time to ask for and back-up times if needed. Then last week I had to have him call MS on our 11 month mark, but again gave him all of the information on what MS would likely ask and what he was to say regarding the reservation. He probably wouldn't feel comfortable making/changing/canceling a reservation or banking points without directions on exactly what to do. He knows he has a DVC account online but I don't think he knows his sign-on or password.
He's always enjoyed our Disney trips and knows I like to spend time reading and planning so he's happy leaving the majority of decisions up to me.

DW does the packing of the luggage but has no interest in learning how to make the
reservations. I believe I come out ahead in the deal.

I'm the main DVC contact in the family, DH called once at 7 month mark because DS had a 9am doctor's appointment.

Then again, I'm the one who keeps track of banking(point pooling in Wyndham) deadlines, have dates at marked in blackberry to call. I also keep the running inventory of DVC/Wyndham points, what weeks are deposited in II/RCI with appropriate ongoing searches.

My SO gets on the plan when told, and thinks everything that happened up to that point came together through the magic of pixie dust. That's fine by me. Disney planning works a lot like wolf packs; there can only be one Alpha Planner.

Generally, I do all the planning, he becomes the operations manager during travel. But he HAS called MS to make reservations and will do so.

DVC is all me. DH is just going along for the ride. He really knows little about how it works, other than that it makes me extremely happy!!!!!

We do plan things together and he knows what we are doing, but as far as even knowing who to call or how to book, nope, he leaves it all up to me!

My DW and I go over the plans and once rvrtything has been finalized, I am the one who contacts MS....

A few years ago DH wanted a pair of boots so badly that I found and was watching, that he actually let me train him to watch over the auction, just in case he might lose out while I was at work. (I still had a panic cell call, but all went well ). When DD walked in and saw him in front of my computer, she almost fainted - then frantically hunted down a camera and took photos.

He hasn't been near my compter since. So yeah, anything remotely computer/web based I do. Including vacation planning, research, spreadsheets, calculating points use, banking, borrowing, etc.
