Does your reservation automatically change to the AP rate?

Hi everyone:wave:

If I were to reserve a room, and told CM that I wanted AP rate, but the rates were not out yet, I understand that I can change from the rack rate to the AP rate when they come out.

But how does that work? Will the reservation automatically change to AP rate without my having to call back? Or will I still have to watch out for the rates to come out and then race to the phone hoping that all the AP rooms were not sold out?

you must call back & ask if there are any rooms available at that rate. Even if you already have a reservation, the rate may be sold out.

If Disney did it this way then there would be no need for an AP rate, or any discount for that matter, because everyone would already have a rack rate reservation.

Pretty much. Sometimes you have to be flexable with your resort choice and/or travel dates. :wave2:
