Yes, We have a ice cream man too. Funny you brought this up.
The other day I was looking out my front window and saw a new ice cream man pushing a cart (the regular one has a truck) down the sidewalk. I looked away from the window and then back and he was instantly gone. I got up and noticed he was hiding on the side of my neighbors home behind a large pine tree. I found out later he was hiding from the regular ice cream man that was coming down the street in his truck. I guess they are very territorial

We have an ice cream man! He used to come by all the time in the summer when I was younger, and then seemed to disappear for a few years. He came back and now I see him pass by almost everyday. There's also a big park in the next town over that I take my dog for walks in a lot, and the ice cream man pretty much just sits in the parking lot on Saturday afternoon and makes a lot of business.

Growing up in NY, we had a Mr Softee truck that made the rounds. Cherry ice with vanilla ice cream on top, boy that brings back some good memories!!

I've only seen an ice cream truck in my subdivision once or twice in the last year. Last time they came around, about 6 months ago!, I told my daughter to stand at the end of the driveway and wave to the driver while I went inside to get money. She waved, the driver waved back and kept going. I came out of the house and she was crying at the end of the driveway. We then chased the truck down the block, running full force. I'm sure any of my neighbors looking out the window thought there must be a fire or something. I told her never again. We just buy ice cream at Publix when she wants it. Fresher and cheaper!

I still have nightmares to this day about that
