Does your middle school have a gymnastics team?

I've been putting off allowing my DD to enroll in a gymnastics class (mostly because I remember doing it myself and don't want her to have the injuries. Partly because the local gyms are so expensive and can get so competitive and time consuming) I was assuming that our middle school had a gymnastics team like mine did when I was a child and I would certainly allow her to be involved with it. Now I found out that they don't have one. Is this something new or is having a gymnastic's team hit or miss with the schools. Thanks.

In our district, the Middle School does not have a team but they do allow the girls to compete on the High School team.

You may want to see if this is your district's policy and what the criteria is.

I've never heard of a middle school gymnastics team. Maybe through a rec program or something but not a team until high school. Sorry.

I don't know of a single middle school in our area that has a gymnastics team. The only high schools I know of that do are in the Atlanta area.

I grew up in Philly and our middle school had girls' gymnastics and we competed with other middle schools in our "cluster". I just thought that having a gymnastics team in middle school was the norm. I guess I was wrong
