Does your McDonald's (or other drive-thru place) do this?

Ours does, we take them out and give the holder back, unless it's just me and I'm grabbing dinner for everyone, then I want the holder. :)

I think I've only had that happen once, where she tried to give me two drinks in the cardboard holder and I just told her I didn't need that and she took them out and handed them to me.

If I'm only getting two drinks, no holder needed as I have two cup holders in my car but if I'm getting more than two then I do appreciate a cardboard holder.

:thumbsup2

Usually, I get asked if I want one....with 5 kids and me, I usually take the holder, it helps in cleanup too--especially if the cupholder is full of $1 sundaes:laughing:. If I am by myself, I don't need it lol.

Since the whole Covid thing McDonalds says that they are required to give a drink carrier. I specifically asked not to get one but they gave it to me anyway. I have 4 people in my car and ordered 4 drinks and I didn't want one. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Its just aggravating when I'm trying to get kids their drinks and get moving through the line quickly as possible. I stated to them up front when I ordered that I didn't want it. Its like some kind of mandate or something.

I've been through different McD's drive thrus several times during the pandemic and not once have I ever been given a drink holder (usually order 2 drinks). The closest I've come to something similar was Starbucks when they would put your cups in a plastic tub and hold it out for you to take out the cups yourself. Now with surface transmission known not to be a huge risk, they don't do that anymore.

BTW I don't see the big deal when old topics are brought back up when they are still relevant and can continue being discussed.

I think what happens is people are searching a certain topic and wind up here, some not even realizing it's a Disney fan board. This is why that thread about a popcorn kernel stuck in the throat gets bumped up occasionally. It's harmless, and you get to see a lot of former users who disappeared long ago.

One of local ones would put ur drinks on a tray and hold it out to you.

My job is to deliver stuff to guests at a resort and we now leave stuff in front of guest door knock say delivery and walk away.

Some guests still don’t understand what contactless means lol.
If I have to go in a room, they are told ahead of time mask up, leave or be 6 ft away from us.
