Does your college alma mater normally qualify for March Madness?

No. No one would go to my university for the team sports opportunities, which is fine with me. That being said, their men's tennis team does well in Div III rankings.

(This is assuming I read correctly that the tournament had been around since 1939.)

Their heyday was in the 60s and 70s though.

I think it has been a VERY long time since they have been to the basketball thing. They did however recently beat Iowa, and apparently that is huge.
