Does your 5 yr old love Ipod touch or Kindle Fire?

My 5yr old son has a Kindle fire and at first we really liked it but now given his choice he would play with my DDs touch or watch videos on the iPad. Kindle is 3rd choice. Also we are on our third Kindle Fire. 2 of them just quit charging, total PIA even though Amazon Customer Service was great with replacing them.

Please forgive me for hijacking but if a person already has an ipod and an itunes account, can you add more ipods or itouches to the same itunes account and thereby share the music, etc? Thanks.:):)
Our entire family shares one iTunes account for apps and music (pssst ... it also helps me keep track of the music my DD downloads) but we all have our own Apple IDs for things like FaceTime. You can share your iTunes library across multiple desktops and laptops.

Wow reading this I really feel out of touch with things. We have 5 kids and they didnt even get cell phones till they were 16.My son is 19 and Autistic and I cant afford the $500 for an Ipad or whatever for him .I am not bashing you by any means but maybe we need to fast forward or others slow down IDK but thats alot of money to give to a 5 year old to keep them entertained while going out. My kids still play tick tac toe and color while waiting in resturants. Maybe I am missing something ??

My kids got cell phones at 16, 14 and 13 (youngest has no cell phone:goodvibes). I know many small kids that have them in elementary school...but we wont do that. The Ipod Touch is only a bit more expensive than some Leapad type products. For $30 more, I can get something that dd will be able to use for quite a long time. This is not an item to "keep her entertained" when we are out, but it is useful for that. My dd isnt a coloring kid and thats ok. Not everyone likes to color;) We generally spend about $150 per kid (3 gifts total) for Christmas (we have 4 kids) and youngest dd has never gotten anything big or expensive. We usually end up spending about $50 on her as the things she wants are quite a bit less costly. She is very careful and takes very good care of her things and I think that this is a good gift for her. Something she will use and enjoy for a long time.
Her other 2 gifts would be quite inexpensive.
Some folks spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on one kid for Christmas per kid. We dont. Everyone has different limits and thoughts on gifts and spending.
To each his own. Not everyone will think the same way:goodvibes
