Does "wide right" work on days that have EMH for hotel guests?

For our upcoming December trip (park days Monday Dec 5 - Fri Dec 9), we are staying off-site, and will have 5 day park hoppers, so 1 MM that I know can only be used at DL. We were planning on starting at DCA on Mon, Wed, and Fri (because our 2 boys' favorite rides are the Cars Land rides), and starting at DL on Tues & Thurs, using our MM on Tuesday. We will hop back and forth as needed based on crowds/entertainment/dining/anything we missed other days, but we generally like to focus on one area at a time.

Now I'm wondering if we should change up that plan. Is Cars Land open during the EMH for guests of Disney hotels? Will RSR already have a long standby line, and a long line for fast passes once we enter at the regular rope drop time? Would we be better off not using our MM, and starting at the park that doesn't have early entry each day? Our only really big priority in DL is Jedi Training, and maybe SM if it happens to go back to the HyperSpace Mountain overlay after the Halloween season. I wouldn't mind getting Peter Pan out of the way early to avoid a long line, but DH considers it a waste of time for how short the ride itself is.

I don't remember which days we started in which park on our last 2 trips in 2012 and 2013, but we did rope drop and wide right for RSR one of the days.

Thanks so much for any advice you can offer!

For those particular days, I wouldn't stress too much about it. Yes, Carsland ia open during EMH so there will be a line. My guess is those days the line will top out at 45 min in the morning hours and Fastpass will be available untl at least 1pm.

I would plan to AVOID EMH at all costs. Go to the opposite park and be there early.

If you are going into DCA on a day that has EMH, you will still be able to get FP for RSR easily as they don't start distribution until regular park hours. Honestly, I never start at RSR because it is much easier to just get a FP. I usually grab a FP and hot foot it back to TSMM first thing in the morning.

In December you may have days where the park doesn't open until later in the morning i.e. 9am opening and on those days it will be busier at the EMH as people seem to be able wake up for an 8am start more than they do for the earlier starts.
