I was wondering if WDW has Electric carts for rent at the wheelchair/stroller stations. I would much prefer that to being pushed around (a bit independant here), but not sure if these are reserved at Disney or off site.

Yes they do have the scooters available to rent but it's on a first come first serve type of deal. My cousin uses one every time we go and she's always found one available. I'm not too sure what the rental rate was (somewhere about $30.00 or so) but it's well worth it as she hates to be pushed in a wheelchair also.;)

And yes you'll find them right where you rent the strollers etc.
Also if you wish to park hop you only pay once for your daily rental. Hope this helps!:)

Yes, WDW does have ecv's to rent at each park. They are not reserved, so plan on first-come, first-served. I believe they are $30 per day plus a $10 refundable deposit. If you park hop & return your ecv at the first park & keep your receipt, you can get another at the 2nd park - based on availability. There are also off-site rental agencies. There is lots more info on the Disabilities Board.

Yes they do have them. You might want to check out the disABILITIES board for specific information. They can answer any and every question you have about them over there. It is amazing how much they know about the ECVs. There are a few places you can get them off-site too for your entire stay. But I can't remember where. Someone on that board can though. I'm sure they even have the phone numbers.

We rented 2 ECV's for my MIL and FIL during our last trip to WDW from Walker Mobility. Can't even begin to tell you what a smart move it was. Both in-laws are elderly, but very much wanted to be in the "thick" of things. The ECV's gave them independence and mobility that they could not have if they were walking.

Walker's was wonderful. Highly reccommend them. They delivered the ECV's to the YC and picked them up there when the week was done. The rental rate was $30.00/day each. It was nice to have the ECV's at the hotel, because MIL & FIL could go for "strolls" around Boardwalk in the evenings and such. They just rode them right up to their room (they kept 1 in our room because of space) and charged them up at night.

Really, really glad we did that for them.
