Does WDW Dining charge $0.00 when you make a dining reservation.

Does WDW Dining charge $0.00 when you make dining reservations to make sure your card is valid? They set off the fraud alert on my debit card. Just checking to make sure. The "charge" is listed as WDWCRO WDPRO.

I've been going to Disney for many years and never set off the fraud alert when making dining reservations.

We have gotten $1 pre charges to our AMEX which are then never put through so yes, they do.

I have been charged $0 on my debit card every time I make or change a dining reservation. It's no charge, but does show up on my online banking.

It should be an authorization, not a charge. And it's usually $1, not $0. But, yes, they hit the card to ensure it's valid.

depends on yoru bank - we never had disney do a charge on our credit union debit card, but had a $0 charge from our other bank debit card when we made last minute reservations for Chef Mickeys'

Every single time I booked a reservation with my debit card had an authorization for $0.

And yes it was for WDW something...

These "charges" did not show up on my online account. However the bank put on a fraud alert and called to ask me if the transactions were mine. They were for $0.00. This was on my debit card. I have a credit union.

Mine set a fraud alert last year and I had to let my bank know they were ok so that I could book reservations. Now they go through as a $0 authorization from WDW...

My bank said that $0 charges over the internet set off an alert - when I would book over the phone I did not have the issue.

I didn't know this was a thing. I have never seen a charge on my card. Could be because I use a Disney Visa.
