Does walking work for changing resorts at 7 months

Are they any tricks to booking for 7 months out. Our first choice was Jan 22/28. But the resort doesn’t have any openings for the 25/26. So we’re able to slightly change our days and could get the new resort from 1. 27/2/1. But I’m assuming this then changes my 7 month day to the 27 of this month. Is this right. I’m just thinking since I’ve read a lot about people walking a reservation but not sure if it would work for the 7 month change. Thanks

Walking is not really effective at 7 months since, as you've seen, there can be holes where the room is unavailable.

In your case, you would not be able to walk the reservation during the nights preceding 1/27 because 1/26 is unavailable. If you plan to visit from 1/27 to 2/1, then your 7-month window opens on 6/27.
