Does VWL have bikes to rent? If so, are there trails to ride? What is the scenery on the trails? And last question...Does it connect to Fort Wilderness campsite? Lots of question, but I wanted to include them all, just in case.

Don't know about current bike rentals, but do know they had them there a few years ago and would assume they still do.

There is a paved pathway that goes all the way to Fort Wilderness campground.

To get to the path, go toward the bus stop area, then veer left along the road, and then you'll see the path going toward Fort Wilderness. It basically parallels the bus road that goes between the campground and Fort Wilderness Lodge.

Actually, there is no FWL. It's either Fort Wilderness, the campgrounds with cabins and campsites. Or Wilderness Lodge (and Villas at Wilderness Lodge).
They are two separate and different resorts. They are not sister resorts, so you don't share the amenities of both resorts (like the pools).

Let me try to answer this. First there is Wilderness Lodge Resort, and Fort Wilderness Campground. They are adjacent to each other. Both have bike rentals available at their respective marinas until 5PM. There are paved pathways at the resorts. At least one of those pathways connect the two resorts.

OOOPS, my mistake. I'm still learning the lingo. I guess I meant VWL. I thought it would be nice scenery for a bike ride. Thanks this really helped.

Let me correct myself before someone corrects me. While the Wilderness Lodge marina does have bike rentals until 5PM, the Fort Wilderness Campground Marina does not. Fort Wilderness Campground has a "Bike Barn" located in the Meadows area that rents out Bikes, Golf carts, and canoes etc. Sorry for the mistake, I don't know what I was thinking of when I responded.

Here's an aerial view of the connection path between WL & FW. The path is the red line. The green roof building at left is WL, the red roof building next to it is VWL.

You can also see the marina coming off the WL beach. That's where you would rent your bikes (or boats).

It's a very nice bike or stroll between the resorts along a heavily wooded paved path. Enjoy!

there was another path - thru the woods (not along the road) - it went near the beach - but I think it got closed after the hurricanes - but it might have reopened.

DH and I walked along that path during a no kids trip. If I recall, it was a dirt or sand path?
Anyways, it was a nice walk and we saw several deer out in the woods.

spicey...you're right, there is/was another path that was part dirt, part sand. Not too good for biking but a nice stroll. Parts of it got quite close to Bay Lake as I recall.
