I've never been much of a pin collector till recently. I like to buy el cheapo pins and trade them off for CM lanyard pins.
A few trips back, while walking over a bridge near Liberty Square with some friends, this kid seperated from his family, and ran to stand right in front of me. He didn't even look me in the eye, he just glared at what I was wearing to where his parents came over and they were like, "Now little timmy, what do you say"? In an almost demanding voice, I hear from the little apparent boss of the family, "I want to trade".
Now don't me wrong, I am the type that will be waiting in line for a ride, see a kid completely eye balling pins I've got on, or when they ask where'd I get 'em, if I have spare el cheapos, I normally flip it over to them in coin fashion, with parental permission to gift their kid of course.
But with this demanding kid, I muttered in my best "goth" tone, "I don't work here kid" and gave the parents a look and went on my way.
This experience was a first for me, but a daily occurence in VMK. It was one of them times that you realized, you really take VMK for granted lol. If this is what park pin collecting is like, then real life SERIOUSLY needs a boot button!
-end boredom-
