If you valet park at a resort, does anyone know if they lock your car?
I am sure that the fine print says that WDW is not responsible for your car or its contents, but with anyone able to access the valet lot it would easy to have something stolen from the vehicle if it isn't locked. Just wondering.

I'm sure that they do as I believe all valets anywhere do. If you really wanted to be sure you could mention to them that you really want the car locked but I highly doubt they leave a bunch of cars unlocked on property.

I have no doubt they claim no responsibility for contents taken from the car but I don't think they want to make it easy for something to be taken.

That's an interesting question as a person could leave things in their car that a valet could take and then the valet could leave the car unlocked so the valet could say someone else took something. Never thought of that.

What exactly do you get with valet parking at Disney? We recently stayed at AKL and saw valet parking was $20 per day. We opted to park ourselves. Got the first parking spot in front of Jambo House. Just curious.

The only time i'm considering using valet parking is at the GF when we are going for early breakfast. Even if we didn't have plans to go to MK afterwards we know how far away the "regular" parking lot is there. We went for dinner last time and weren't impressed that it was forever & a day away! Across a very busy road ... we felt incredibly rushed since we then had to walk through the resort and out to Narcossee's. Otherwise, yeah we use the standard parking lot :thumbsup2

Valet parking gives you access to your car underneath a roof during the frequent rain storms, it gets you into your car with no walk to the parking lot (sometimes far in the heat) and it makes life easier in my opinion. I am pro- valet.

The sign may say they are not responsible. But in a court of Law, they ARE responsible. If someone stole from your unlocked car, they would be responsible if they indeed left it unlocked.
